Cilantro is awful

Well, when I take my waterfall showers it was kinda inevitable when I haven't raised my shower stat yet. Mistakes happen.
Lots of Asian food without cilantro is pretty sad. The only ones I can think of that don't feature it are... Japanese and Korean? Am I right?
My gf hates it, tastes awful to her. Myself, I sort of don't really taste it usually, like I have no idea why they even bother putting it into so much stuff. When I get a really large mouthful of the stuff it's not great for me either. I just don't see the point.
This really illustrates how few people actually read threads before responding. "You have shitty taste." "You can't cook." "You're using it wrong." Literally 3 of the first 5 posts tell you it's genetic (along with multiple posts on every page).
I don't think coriander affects me the same way, though I sadly don't eat Indian often enough to check.

You have to wonder how many people who think it tastes like soap don't actually know they have the bum gene.
Wait, hollup a minute. So culantro is a different herb from cilantro? I've been making sofrito wrong?
I have the gene that makes it taste like soap, but I like cilantro. I'm guessing that I grew up eating it so it doesn't taste bad to me.
Damn, imagine hating cilantro tho. I'm glad I don't have that genetic predisposition because cilantro is absolutely necessary 👌🏾
