Alongside Civil War where T'Challa debuted, Black Panther is one of the MediocreCU's only truly great films.
I mean that's every marvel movie. At least this one had a good director.
I don't know why people are remarking on the quality of Black Panther, the movie and character, if this video and CinemaSins isn't commentary or criticism, and just unfunny jokes.

I don't know if they are responsible as much as they are symptomatic. This obsession on the internet with breaking down plot mechanics and continuity errors over critiquing character development and story themes started way before them.
Also I've never been convinced of the "humour" in these videos. Guy always sounds like an asshole you'd never want to talk about movie with.

I don't disagree! But even in MCU standards BP was hard to watch. The end fights with the rhinos... my god.
That would be a new, multiple levels low even for oscars.
Here to remind y'all that Robin Williams shines in dramatic roles and everyone enjoying this video deserve to be given rice cakes.
CinemaSins isn't serious so there is no reason to watch their videos or pay attention to them, honestly. At least RLM is sincere AND funny, as much as I sometimes disagree with them.

It's not the nitpicks but casual sexism and racism that are the issues.
And a small part that the nitpicks are often factually wrong and they totally misunderstand things said and shown in movies.
I like the movie, but that’s not going to happen. It has a chance at some other nods tho.
I watched this movie during a recent flight and thought it was kinda boring. Really nothing about it was special imho. You pretty much know the entire plot of the movie before you watch it.
CinemaSins is pretty terrible though. Even if, as people keep saying, they aren't serious they are still spectacularly unfunny.

In an actual attempt to have a discussion though I don't understand some people saying the movie is mediocre. It's pretty easily the best summer block buster of the year for me. Even though I haven't seen that many (Money hurting right now). And Cinema Sins sucks because they say "It's just a joke" yet make actual criticisms in their videos that actual people use to gauge whether or not they will watch a movie or not. Also they do get a lot of stuff wrong. I use to watch their videos all the time until they did one for a movie I really liked and a lot of what they said made no sense to me. I've noticed a couple of times with some Youtube critics also. They get basic things wrong about a movie even though the movie plainly lays things out for them. Part of me feels some people are looking to make a joke more then actually watching the movie. That's just me though.

Seems like superhero movies can sometimes sneak into the “best makeup” nomination category
I remember people getting mad on dunkey threads, or that enter those threads only to say how unfun they are lol
If it gets a best picture nomination I’ll be floored. It’s average at best and has terrible effects, the villain falls apart in the end which is a damn shame because he was killing it in the first half.

Quite striking isn't it? They go out of their way that you don't see for other superhero films for some reason.
The only other recent film I can think of that's treated like that is TLJ. Funny that.
Saw this movie the other day. It was...Boring? Not sure why people acted like this was such an incredible film. Much preferred Civil War.
