Oh wow, Prime Remastered just missed the top 20 last month. Good to see supply picking up for it, since it's such an easy sell at $40.
ps5 beating ps4 in the same time frame is actually quite surprising to me. From what I remember ps4 was an absolute monster.
Didn't think ps5 was doing that well.
Actually, if it wasn't for stock issues, ps5 would likely be far ahead of ps4

After just a little more than 2 years PS5 in USA is already selling better compared to PS4, crazy. Even crazier considering the lack of stock lasted so long.
It has also done so in Japan too. Probably quite a few regions so far.
This is the information we need. No mention of Series X/S consoles. Curious how they're doing compared to how things played out in EU/UK

Good point. But situation was very dire in Europe and it's a strong market for Playstation and probably the reason why PS5 is still behind worldwide
That PS5 momentum might seem hard to sustain but you know they are gonna have the Niche-man 2 bundle for this holiday. Gonna be crazy
If the pace continues, I expect PS5 to surpass PS4 time-aligned later this year and not look back.
Octopath holding on is nice, game got decent legs off word of mouth.
Some of the third party publishers that signed exclusivity deals with Sony probably breathing a sigh of relief that hardware is finally getting into people's hands. They probably expected it to be way ahead of PS4 by now before they signed those deals and before the pandemic. I wonder if Sony gave them any monetary guarantees (beyond the initial investment) in case the install base wasn't there?
TLOU P1 could rank even higher for the entire year if the PC port wasn't a completely botched mess. That Zero Dawn Remake could do some numbers if the Amazon show catches on.

MLB the Show came out at the end of the month, right before baseball season too. It should do pretty damn well in April. Even though I'm kind of burned out on the series, its still a long-time favorite of mine that I've played going back to PS2 (and even PS1 if you want to include 989 sports games). The Negro Leagues stuff they added this year is SO amazing too.
Such talent should hopefully be allowed to make an Octopath 3 😎
Dead Space seems to be doing quite well for it. I imagine EA is pleased with the performance and will definitely be greenlighting DS2 remake if they haven't already... would be foolish not to as the investment is probably even lower than DS1's with the foundation being built

It'll be interesting to see if MS decides to pivot from their current plans. Starfield would obviously sell a whole lot more units if it wasn't going to be put on Gamepass.
But this would also piss off a lot of their core audience who have been sold on "free" games.
