"Sir we know you organized this event."

"How could you tell?"

Malmoe, Sweden.
Sounds pretty serious. A facebook pledge is just one step below a pinky swear.

I guess "people are now writing fan-fiction about leaving their house" could make for half an article's worth of unsubstantiated culture-spotting.

Do your thing, churn of the web.

A friend of mine took his Jeep off roading near the test site, I guess he didn't see the sign or didn't care to. Anyway, as he's driving west after turning off the 95 on some dirt road he approaches a plateau of sorts. He starts hearing a noise as he's driving faster toward the edge when suddenly an Apache helicopter rises up out of nowhere with missiles and guns lock. On the intercom my friend hears that if he doesn't turn around immediately they will open fire and he will be killed. Needless to say he turns around and his quickly escorted back to the 95 by two unmarked cruisers. There a police officer is waiting who writes him a very, very large ticket.

The USGovernment doesn't fuck around these parts. The runners need to know that their lives may be in danger.

They should all buy as many civilian drones as possible and fly them into Area 51 all at once, live-streaming from the drones. It'll take awhile for all those drones to be stopped, while footage is streaming onto the internet.

Haha, yeah right. Those drones won't make it anywhere near the base.

It's very clearly a joke but I hope none of the 600k people who have RSVP'd take it seriously and get themselves killed.

This feels like the next level of Russian triple. They've moved into getting Americans to commit suicide en masse.

Before the guards and employees of Area 51 know it, they are all under a genjutsu already.

I expect someone to use actual Talk no Jutsu to get in.

In all seriousness though? At best 5-10 people will show up, get discouraged, head to a bar or something, and then get drunk.

As has already been pointed out:

#1. There ain't gonna be 'thousands' of people. Not even hundreds. At best about 10 to 20 (maybe) screwjobs with more money/time than sense will show up and not actually do jack shit.

#2. The US government, especially in those highly restricted sites, don't fuck around. At all. If any of these clowns actually do try this, it won't end well for them. At best they will be yelled at, intimidated in a pants-pissing fashion by big dudes pointing guns at them, and likely given fines. At worst they'll actually be shot and their loved ones won't be able to do shit because they were trespassing on restricted government property with about a million signs informing people to turn around.

Bookmarking this thread, regardless. 😂

I wondered about this when I saw my mother, my childhood band camp teacher and nephew all signed on as interested in this.

Area 51 have snipers that kill people from miles away so good luck with that. These people are dumb. It's not like they keep little aliens walking around. If they got interested due to the Bob Lazar thing on Netflix, he only really "confirmed" that they have alien spacecraft. That's it.
