In 2018, Batman: White Knight was the first comic in years to have something to say. Glad we are getting a sequel in 2019.

Somewhere.
Saw that Dredd movie from 2012 a few days ago, and it is really damn good (though I haven't really check out much of the character). Really liked Anderson.

The comics aren't super similar. Judge Anderson is really prominent in them, tho. So if you like her and wanna read more -- she's around!

I think all 18 issues till now have had at least one character drinking alcohol in panel. Looks like 19 won't be the exception.

Final everything issue I believe. I think they are ending Suicide Squad.

Yeah its a really beautiful omnibus and a great run.
Yeah, the book is ending and the rumor is that Azzarello will be writing the next incarnation. Based on other rumors it will probably launch spinning out of the HiC ending.

I think Babs is already halfway out the door. Like Cloonan, she figured out she can make good money just doing prints.

Babs is out lol. She never fully committed to the comic thing, ad why would she with the fanbase she created as an illustrator. Her and Jen Bartel started at the same point and look at the difference now.

Babs realised she can make crazy money on commissions and prints. Jen is doing crazy amounts of covers, an ongoing and prints/commissions. All the while her art has gotten better and better every year. I can't say that about babs.

There's something I'm not a fan of about some of Bartel's faces. I'm not shitting on her art at all, but occasionally she'll make certain faces a bit too rounded.

I can see that. But she has definitely improved in that department. She said before that she was working on it. It used to be really bad 2-3 years ago.

Yea this art is great, especially for "fan art". I was going through his twitter earlier after it was posted and its all that level of quality, from what I saw. This person needs to be picked up by someone if they can do this on the regular.

She's definitely much better on the whole, but you can still see a bit of it on Carol in that Captain Marvel / Wonder Woman illustration.

Happy New Year!
If I may make a humble request, I would like to ask ViewtifulJC to do us the honor of welcoming us to 2019 in a manner similar to how he mentioned 2018 quite often for us.

Edit: scrolled up and saw you kinda already did it.

2019 already feels like more of the same

Eh, don't be so down on it. So many comic related things to look forward to in 2019.

The Wild Storm finale (And hopefully a new Authority series).
My Favourite Thing is Monsters v2
Henderson's Assassin Nation
New Injection volume
New Trees volume
Absolute Swamp Thing releases
Shonen Jump $2 subscription (though that already started late 2018)

I don't really care much for Babs' art. She has like 1 face and 2 body types she uses for every character.

It looks very good on a comic about buff guys and pretty girls like Motor Crush but then I see her commissions and, like, I can't even recognize half the characters

Oh my god it's beautiful

...But they're actually stopping short of making a commitment, the cunts. I will forgive them if they release a Gwenpool omnibus. DO IT YOU COWARDS!

Judge Death actually jumped to DC and became the Batman Who Laughs.

I could see them doing a Gwen omnibus due to the Deadpool omnis. Just through name trickery alone.
