With startling ease, a newly dangerous and aggressive Leviathan wipes out all its competition and now turns its sights to molding the world into its vision of order. Can the new threat's growth be stopped...and who's guiding its new agents of chaos?

The Batman Who Laughs #6 By Snyder, Jock (June 12th) - True happiness begins in the heart. Our memories and emotions can play tricks on us, though, and divert one's reality into something completely different. The Batman Who Laughs has based his entire worldview on this very concept, and it is in this moment that he must finally confront the one man who stands in his way, the one man who could complete or halt his plan…the last Bruce Wayne. It is here, on the home turf of Wayne Manor, that Bruce relives the happiest moment of his life—the moment he became the Batman Who Laughs. Will Batman be able to outthink the Dark Multiverse version of himself and stop his most sinister end? Or will the original Dark Knight succumb fully and let go of his morality? While good almost always wins, this issue is the start of something more…setting up a larger plan based in the ultimate betrayal of infection, loyalty and true happiness. This is not the end…it's only the beginning.

Justice League #25 By Snyder, Jimenez (June 5th) - The "Sixth Dimension" storyline wraps up in this oversize issue as Superman faces down the World Forger to save the Justice League! Can Superman withstand the might of a being that can create worlds from nothing?! Plus, with the Justice League away, Mr. Mxyzptlk's been wreaking havoc! Can anyone on Earth stand up to the fifth-dimensional menace?

Naomi #6 By Bendis, Walker, Campbell (June 19th) -This is it, the end of the first season of NAOMI by the breakout collaboration of writers Brian Michael Bendis and David F. Walker and artist Jamal Campbell! With her origins finally revealed, Naomi embraces the journey ahead and charts a course for the future and her role.

The Wild Storm #24 By Ellis, Davis-Hunt (June 19th) - The final issue. The final act. IO has betrayed the world, and Skywatch wants to burn it. The only people in the middle are Jenny Mei Sparks' ragtag team of wounded orphans of the secret world. The storm has hit. This is how it ends.

Fan-favorite artist Elena Casagrande also joins the team as she delivers a look at Jinny Hex's origins and how she came to be in Metropolis on the day the new Young Justice formed.

Teen Titans #31 By Glass, Chang (June 19th) - Lobo brought Crush into this world…and now he's gonna take her out! But the timing couldn't be worse for the Teen Titans, with Damian's secret prison exposed to the rest of the team, not to mention Deathstroke's death looming over them—can the team put their drama aside to help Crush battle her deadbeat dad? Or will Lobo be the final nail in the coffin for the newest Teen Titans?

Flash #73 By Williamson, Porter (June 26th) - "The Flash Year One" continues! As our hero picks up the pieces from his disastrous defeat at the hands of the Turtle, the rise of the Rogues in Central City gives the Flash renewed resolve. But Barry is still learning to master his abilities, and while an experienced speedster might know how to outrun a gun, this time he may not be so lucky…

The Green Lantern #8 By Morrison, Sharp (June 5th) - Green Lantern teams up with Green Arrow to stop a cosmic drug cartel that's using Earth as its main distribution base! It's a brilliant homage to the team-ups of old, as Morrison and Sharp do the 2019 version in a story we can only call "Space Junkies!"

I didn't understand the title reference.

Read Batman White Knight

Classic Harley calls new Harleys costume "Kind of a step back for feminism" in White Knight

"You, you left"

"and now I'm taking him back"

"he needs..."

"A violent cheerleader with a bigger rack? I don't think so... And don't even get me STARTED on the clothes ... Kind of a step back for feminism"

Which do we hate more: White Knight or Heroes in Crisis?

Or do we just not talk about those anymore?

Brought up in the last thread but it is pretty weird that Harley Quinn, who's been morphed into a breakout anti-hero/comedy character for DC, had a writer go "I miss it when she got beat up by the Joker and wore latex", but then White Knight was filled with that kind of shit.

Don't get me wrong, the original Harley Quinn costume is straight fire and never should have gone away, but she's moved on from that characterization for better or worse.

I am feeling so good about those numbers right now, but then it's not like we'd ever actually get back the Rebirth status quo. It was just too interesting for someone like DiDio.

I agree with this. I won't hear people shitting on that costume. But shes in a much better place and most of that costume doesn't fit anymore.

Her old costume was perfect for her Harlequin theme. But it's a sidekick outfit. They had to change it up if they were going to take her and push her into being a pillar of DC.

Earth 616
Action Comics then was about Lex Luthor as Superman right? That scene where Lex tears off the emblem in the Superman series was so good.
I love Bendis. I want to enjoy his books. The problem is that he keeps spreading himself thin. Like I said last year on the boards, that's precisely the same shit he did back at Marvel Comics. He should do a Tom King or a old school Bendis and reinvent a character, like The Question. Superman isn't really his forte.

Is that Jeph Loeb Hulk omni coming out soon a good run? I'm not super big on Loeb's books so far outside of Long Halloween, but the art I saw from a video showing off the omni made it look damn good.

Also how's Scarlet? I don't mind Bendis writing style and have enjoyed his New Avengers and Daredevil so far.

Not too many major collected editions this month.

Just v2 of this.

AmkOooI.png

Will probably be picking this one up. I have the trades, but once I get the Vol 2 omnibus I will have all of Morrisons run in Hardcover.

I quite enjoyed it. More the first run than the more recent one, which feels like they passed over a lot of story and skipped right to the end. But it's a series that shows how good Bendis can be when he writes stories that focus on individuals rather than team books. Bendis / Maleev are one of my favorite creator pairings.

I actually just ordered the Absolute Edition the other week.

Nice. Maleev's art in Daredevil is so damn good, it sets the tone and mood so well. Thinking I was gonna get the Absolute also. After having read Daredevil in TPB I really want to see Maleev's artwork in that oversized format.

Keep in mind the Absolute is just the reprinted 2010 series he did while he was still with Marvel. The newer series he did at DC isn't included.

My biggest regret in choosing the Shonen Jump app over buying the TPBs is missing out on the colourful row of spines on my bookshelf.

The MHA covers are so good.

Yeah the MHA covers look really awesome on a shelf. I wonder who they will go with on the spines after the kids.

He'll spread himself further when he gets the Batman books. LOL his run is selling less than the people he replaced, the only one overselling those were the AC 1000

Yar, and it's not always updated either. But it's fast and easy to parse. Thanks for the TFAW referral though. I'll check it out, see what I'm missing.
