It's an interesting concept, not so sure about the execution from what i remember.
Very mediocre. Definitely one of Quesada's weakest works. And don't get me started with Tieri... No offence, but he would have never gotten the job were it not for his friendship with Quesada.

Correct, it is an Avengers Annual where Kamala is envisioning bad fan fiction that is written on a site she contributes to. Mark Waid actually wrote that!

Man, I wish we had something like IST in the UK. Amazon is completely sold out of JMS' Spidey omnibus, and they've decided to up the price from £65 to £104.
It's been a while since I put in an IST order so I grabbed some things I wanted.

I don't often buy Absolute Editions. Especially not multi-volume series. I read Transmet back when the original trades came out with the soft Vertigo paper.
Speedyhen often has better prices than amazon. Worth looking at their site for stuff. Unfortunately their packing is the same as Amazon's so not near the standard of IST. Wordery or booksetc also have decent prices sometimes. Have used all the sites multiple times and had no issues.

So, Rick Jones/Abomination's new look got revealed in a variant cover for IMMORTAL HULK #19.
It seems partially inspired by Bi-Beast which was featured in the comic around the time when Harpy first appeared. Given Ewing's love of continuity, he saw an opportunity to bring in some of that imagery. Also, in TIH#16, there's a panel where Rick is in a cocoon and the narration says, "I'm of two minds about this"
Guess you can add Alien/Pan's Lanyrinth to Bennett's inspiration material :)

Got my Marvel books all pre-ordered. I'm glad I'm getting that upcoming 8 dollar Amazing Spider-Man issue and the 6 dollar issues of House of X/Powers of X half off! Hoping I can get some more HoX and PoX half off if they get added before the sale ends.
It's revenge for how expensive everything was when I visited last month.
