Is #33 the last issue of Wicked + The Divine? Sometimes it's hard to tell if it's just the arc or the series that's over with Image books.

^Recommend the Abe Sapient omnibus that's out this month wholeheartedly.

Read through The Visitor this evening. It's kind of hard to write about without spoilers but the main thrust of the book was to finally explain a plot thread from the very original Hellboy mini that was never really revisited bar a brief scene that added more confusion than anything. While the story does explain things, the actual story that plays put ends up being a much more melancholic, thoughtful & touching story, about what it is for anyone of any race, gender or origin to be human, to be equal and to have the power to make your own choices in life. A real change of pace for the Mignola books but very much appreciated. Grist's art is really good too, suits the general tone and look of the universe perfectly while doing it's own thing.

Not that I wouldn't have read it anyway, but cheers to tim1138 for giving me the hard sell and making me read it quicker haha. I usually prefer to let the Mignola books stack up so I can really binge but that was worth jumping on.

Yes! I originally read The Visitor in single issues after the series wrapped up and devoured it all in one sitting it was so good. It was not at all what I expecting, but in hindsight I'm happy for that. It didn't change the universe or alter the trajectories of any of the main Mignolaverse cast, but it fit so nicely into that world. Despite the main character literally being an alien, it was one of the most human stories I've read in some time. I think melancholy is the perfect term to describe the series, it's a book that really stuck with me.

I can see why Valiant needs it's own OT with the way it's treated here...

Honestly I get why Bat-Man gets his own section. He's the number one Superhero and has comics up the wah-who, unlike Superman and Spidey.

The OT is bomb though, good job yinz.

Has there been a Rebirth title that Batman hasn't made an appearance in yet?

Batman said:

He's Bat-Man, DC is basically named after a comic he made important. You'll deal, or you'll go run to Marvel and their constant events and issue number ones and various characters clones and hulks with claws.

Fixing the Archie section has hit some unexpected delays. Will fix asap.

The Batman section isn't permanent nor is Archie. The headings are only used in special occasions. Batman just has too many big books this month that I didn't want to drop any other DC books.

Freezasaurus Wow! That's a crazy take on the character. Faithful. But the eyes sure strange looking. I'd love to hunt one of these down in person to see them myself. What an interesting curiosity from that era.

There were several different books Valiant put out back then. There were Game Boy and Captain N comics as well. Launchpad should know this stuff. This is like his heritage.

I have a friend who's a cartoonist and animator I'd love to get this stuff in front of. He's such a Nintendo fanboy, too that it's just right in his wheelhouse.

For me, Valiant didn't exist before 2012. Sorry fam.
Same for me, honestly. 90's Valiant is a big mystery for me. Old enough to remember seeing them, but young enough for it not to have appealed to me since I just wanted Batman and Spiderman comics because of the cartoons.

EDIT: They really need to make it easier to edit your comment with a previous quote by adding the "Insert Quote" button to the "More Options" and editing post screen.

Gimme all of the Rat Queens and all of the Wayward, even if the last issue kinda sucked.

Can confirm Crosswind is good, and that No 1 with a Bullet is pretty neat. I can see it going places.

Great OP as usual Messi. November is shaping up to be another fantastic month; Doomsday Clock is my most wanted book.

This is a little off-topic, but I saw Thor: Ragnarok last night. It's the first MCU film I haven't seen on opening night, but it's been a busy week. It is so much fun. I hope everyone has a chance to check it out. The first two films were average at best, but this just blew me away. Top 3 for sure.

I would have never made an ot with so many comics, show some restraint. Five, maybe six comics tops.

Went ahead and bought Final Crisis: Legion of 3 Worlds after talking about it the other day on here. Thanks BlueRose for asking about it and inadvertently reminding me that I loved that back in the day. XD
I should be thanking you! Someone at ComiXology, or DC Comics, has been reading our posts and choosing titles to include in their weekly sales based on our discussions here.

Messi , did you run out of characters to add this image, or did it just slip by?

Also, SO excited for B&R by Tomasi/Gleason omnibus!

Edit: Oh, crap. Messi , I just realized I accidentally put oversized hardcover on Abe Sabien. Could you change that to standard-sized hardcover?

Nice thread as always. I should probably get started on Valiant at some point...
