Just finished Thor #10.
Didn't think I'd feel so bad for Odin of all people.
Have to hand it to Aaron for turning him into a tragic, complicated character.

Just realised the cover is a massive ironic fakeout as well.

I've had this avatar for so many years I would feel kinda weird changing it.
But maybe I should.

I enjoyed both games, but I would go with Control. I had a good time with XB2 but I had a lot of complaints about it, too. I thought Golden Country was a more compact, well-made package than the main game.

Golden Country is the main reason I want to pick it up.

Do games go on sale on the Epic Game Store launcher thing like they do on Steam?

They will, eventually. They had a sale a few months ago where I snagged a few things that were upcoming (Afterparty and John Wick: Hex).

There are also many, many cheap codes floating about through the offer with RTX cards. if you don't have an RTX card yourself you'll need someone to redeem it for you, but you can get a bundle of Control and the new Wolfenstein for 20 bucks or so.

Might make a longer post in the new thread but I enjoyed Infinite Crisis. Ditching other comic reading plans I had and am going to go ahead and read 52.

Superboy Prime was a character who whined about how comics were better when he was a kid and bloodily tore through the DCU to achieve his goals, and neither DiDio or Johns saw the irony.

He got pretty much the perfect ending. He went home to the "real world" as such, everybody had read the comics he had been in and realised he was insane and dangerous, and he spent his days trolling internet forums:

This is an amazing end for a character.
Utterly perfect.

I still want him back though.

At the end of Infinite Crisis when Superman puts him in his place, with 'being Superman is not about what you wear on your chest, it's about action!'.
It's super cheesy but it brings a tear to my eye.

I think Infinite Crisis is hated on too much. As a crisis-level event, it does a great job capturing the breadth, scope, and bombast that a comic like that should have.

Plus, it led to 52, which was basically a perfect weekly comic. It was essentially a statement of the DC Universe. It has everything that DC is within it.

Same here. I love 52 though. It's such a well done book that got me way into the less mainstream DC that was coming out then. Montoya's story especially. And Batwoman.

Infinite Crisis might be my favourite event series to be honest.
It a damn fun ride all the way through.
It's got drama, action, excitement, bombast, and a whole host of fun characters.

Yeah the scale was seriously impressive, some of those (Jiminez?) pages were incredible with the scope and detail. I could tell there were a ton of details that probably for fleshed out in the tie-ins, but the story itself was told pretty well as long as you read the minis that lead up to it.

They did a reaaaalllly good job of building up how completely fucked the DCU was before it happened, and then wrapped it all up very nicely.

I'd probably like Infinite Crisis if after that and 52's conclusion DC didn't go back to dark miseryguts shit like Cry for Justice.

'If you're from this earth it can't be perfect. Because a perfect earth doesn't need a Superman'.

Imagine Prime coming back and getting a flash infodump on everything New 52 and up.

The issue would just end with him laughing hysterically

I'm going to disappear for a little bit to watch TV with my wife, so this will probably be my last post in the September thread. That makes this the end of my first full month here, so I just wanted to be serious for a second and thank y'all for being so welcoming.

Well, I thought that would be my last post in the September thread, but Over the Garden Wall has now been watched in its entirety, and my last September post is now me saying I love that show, and I'm probably going to rewatch it every Fall until I die now. What a delight.

I'm mad that Sunspot reverted back to the generic X-student uniform.

Roberto looked so clean in the suit.
Truth. Like, he was so good running his own organization and shit.

Ewing was doing god's work.
Is it bad that I miss Superboy Prime?
I thought he was a fun, pathetic villain.
He's fantastic.
