I really liked Control, but I'm still kinda eh on the DLC. Could be good... could also *not* be good. Too little information to say.

Prob should have put "On PS4" in the title because I didn't check other shops, but I believe the PS4 Season Pass for Control has more content as well
This isn't to excuse the practice, it's scummy as fuck, but I've seen enough devs do mid-season sales that I pretty much don't trust any dev/publisher with this type of stuff anymore. If I ever buy a season pass full price, it's basically just to give a dev some extra support.

Yeah, I think Sony has exclusivity on the season pass for a year.
EDIT: Sorry, got it mixed up with the digital deluxe edition and the first expansion. Only the first expansion is a timed exclusive. The season pass can only be bought separately on XB1 and PC.

The season pass itself is a timed exclusive for PS4 until the first expansion has released. It's baffling.
My bad, the first expansion is a timed exclusive. You should be able to buy the season pass on XB1 and PC.

I've been burned on so many I never buy them at all now until multiple parts are out and get good reviews. The only one I can think of in the latest 2-3 years that was truly worth it is AC Odyssey's.
Man, why do they fuck over such a great game with such shitty practices like that PS4 (limited) exclusive deal and now this? Also I'm not sure if future DLC/expansions will have great narrative, if at all. That one mode sounded more like some kind of horde/wave/exploration mode with the game and story really nothing tell.

AC Odyssey did it great and was basically a new game worth of content on top of AC3 remastered for free, all for 40 bucks. They set expectations really well, especially with their monthly content drop videos. From the beginning, they said the first act of 3 stories are a new arc in the same game world, and pointed to the first Origins DLC as an example. Then the later 3 parts a new expanded storyline like the second dlc Origins dlc, set in new areas EACH.
It was a ridiculous amount of content that they had a history of delivering on their last game to point to.
You see this shit happen so often it's funny. One of the many reasons not to buy season passes until they actually have something of value.

Unrelated, but is there a way to have multiple save files with this game? I went to start a new game today after getting the Platinum, and it seems the only option is to overwrite my 100% data without getting a USB drive involved.
I will also note the game was running noticeably smoother after this most recent update. I was surprise.

Haha it's me! 😞 I bought it midway through playing it because I loved it so much. The Hideo Kojima missions that came with it were... not good.
I pretty much never buy season passes until all content it out because this keeps happening and screwing over early adopters.
It's not like an old product reducing in price, you paid more to play sooner, this not even out yet so people paid more for no benefit at all.

Who buys season passes at launch at this point? Literally every one is 50% off before half content is out, happens every time. Exodus' is currently half price on Steam and the only thing out is the first mini content that was 2-3 hours long while the main expansion isn't coming until next year.
