Only four of the lead devs worked a few 100 hr weeks leading up to launch. The rest of the team was never asked to work hard during its development. An ethical purchase.
I'm not Red Dead marketing and you're capable of googling whatever information you want. If you don't want to play it, don't play it. If you do, then play it. Your time isn't that precious that I have to waste mine trying to make you enjoy an entertainment product.

Shit, I didn't even get GTA V till after it released on PC, and even then it was because someone gifted it to me.
There are so many games right now that are excellent. It really is no loss to simply put them off till you actually care and the price is justifiable to you

Wait until Red Dead launches. Buy Assassin's Creed Odyssey, potentially with a bit ofa discount to combat RDR2.
Play ACO.
Buy RDR2 during/after the holidays, hopefully with some money knocked off and multiplayer mode in full swing.
