That's an obvious placeholder boxart. Crash and Spyro Trilogy both had placeholders for several months before the official reveal.

As has been explained countless times before, marketing rights and whatnot. When a game is presented in a show usually only the marketing rights holder shows up in the trailer, while the publisher's PR mentions more details. It's happened with all 3 companies before so I don't know why people act like this is something new.
It's called marketing, look at MS and getting timed demos lol. They both do it.
I think the visuals look a bit budget-tier. And even though I loved the original, I would've rather they just did something completely new.
I'm not falling for that, last time the switch version got shanked with no leader boards. I'll wait to see if the add to double dip.
Yeah I'm not keeping my hopes up so I'm settling for 30 fps. 60 fps will be a nice surprise if it happens though.

Hell yes. Between this and MK8 if I ever get a Switch I will have enough kart racing to satisfy me for years.

It looks perfect. I just hope they nail the gameplay, because that was already perfect back in 1999.
Seems like mostly CTR with a few extras like karts and tracks from later games.
There's was a dev that said that tracks not from the original so why not throw in some CNK tracks to round out the package?
