Having the CEO of the largest and most influential leverage exchange use the logic and defense of a casino is fine

Having the CEO of the largest and most influential shitcoin and Tether based exchange openly talk about how he bought his own token to prop up the price on the open market is FINE

I'm sure nothing is wrong with this market, it's all good, nothing bad is going to happen in the future and we're not all going to wake up one morning to the most prominent exchanges looking like this

Bitpanda started their IEO of the BEST token today.
Being one of the best, if not the very best current European exchange, I had to put in some €... Let's see how far we get. More than 30% sold in 1h+ and the most successful IEO in central Europe already. Bitpanda by far is the exchange I loved most in the last few months. It looks damn good, the fees have to get lower though still.

For those who use Binance, can you buy other alt coins with ETH or does it have to be bitcoin?

Thanks for the reply, I'm just starting out trading. So you would have to fund all your trading with a BTC balance?

Just depends on what pairs you're trading, but yes BTC (and I'm assuming you're on binance) is usually the most liquid and has the most filled order books. Some coins are only ETH pairs, you just have to look at how they are traded.

Go to coinmarketcap.com then enter binance into the search. Then use the tab to the left ("Pair:All") and change it to Pair:ETH. Then you see all the ETH pairs on Binance

Thanks for this! That's a big help, I'm just starting out and learning how everything works with crypto around trading.

If you're new to trading I would paper trade first, don't use real money. Learn basics, fundamental TA and find some people to learn from

Dont dive head first into a possible broken parabolic upswing and start trading capitulating alt coins.

Oh regular stock market trading I'm very familiar with, the world of crypto is brand new though.

I'm starting slow, learning how the trading works on the different exchanges, whether you can trade with paper money or only crypto.

I think this maybe the Tether bomb may be about to finally go down. Lets wreck tether, take the pain(accumulate) and rise.

Stopped counting the "tether implosion" incidents. Won't hold my breath that this is the real one this time.

The sudden seizure/closing of Bitfinex would probably at least be necessary for that.

This is something I've been watching for a week or so now

Not sure if it will play out 1:1, but the major pattern is in place. Something to watch if we don't get a higher high in the next few days imo

ETHUSD looks like similar shit with a bear flag forming, price target ~230

Although it could be in a sloping flag on the 4H, also is showing bullish divergence.

Well, this is the first time NYAG is suing their asses as they demand documentation for their trading in New York, which we know has happened because of emails uncovered showing they have been "loaning" Tether to people to trade with. Which in-itself could indicate that they print Tether as a loan, allow people to trade with it and then get paid back after the fact.

Which means, again, that Tether is being printed with no money, to buy BTC and then sell into real money to "cover" the Tether print.

So tether printed 5 billion USDT by accident this weekend huh? That's a "whoopsi". Well, they at least communicated their mistake and burned them right away.

I sold mine all of mine at 5k right before it took off. The timing sucks but I'm still glad I got out of that crooked market.

How low are we going here? I need my TA folks to chime in

BTC parabola is broken, traditional indications points to a massive decline like 2017 when that parabola broke as well. Peter Brandt usually calls for 80% correction from highs for broken parabola targets.

I don't really trade market cap, but market cap parabola is smashed as well

I would treat any bounce as just that, a bounce. If you're trading them try and find logical resistances and sell there, then wait for a reaction for your next move

I don't think you could reasonably expect that hearing to be more bullish for the corn than it was

Nah, I think Bitmex is too big for that. It would totally wreck havoc on the entire crypto industry.

And can they seize a website that's operated out of Malta?

Yea.... and why would that matter to US regulators and US authorities?

You guys forgetting what people woke up to one morning last year?

US has wide ranging jurisdiction and authority in seizing websites that have US customers and members.

Never heard of 1Broker before... Bitmex on the other hand

1Broker was one of the more well known exchanges for swaps and other trading both crypto and non-crypto.

It took more than two years for the SEC and the FBI to take action and shut down the exchange of 1Broker. Given that most tokens, which are considered as securities under existing laws in the US, were released in the second half of last year, Chervinsky implied that in the months to come, many exchanges and token issuers are likely to be targeted by US authorities.

"The undercover FBI agent who investigated 1broker bought his first unregistered security-based swap on March 30, 2016. The government didn't take action until two and a half years later. The majority of ICOs (unregistered securities?) were issued in 2H 2017. Buckle up, folks," he said.

Several investors in the cryptocurrency space including Aurelius, a widely recognized crypto trader, stated that exchanges like BitMEX could potentially be targeted by the SEC for offering margin trading around Bitcoin and Ethereum.

ICO's are securities, we have exchanges offering leverage on multiple crypto parings... basically any exchange that is knowingly serving US customers who are blatantly not adhering to US regulations can easily get smacked down by the FBI/SEC.
