Somebody itt said that 3 pm the standard update time is for the Eshop so we can probably play it at that moment.
This. It was my first pre-order on the Switch and I thought you could immediately play it like on PS4 and PC, but no. :(
I keep on checking... got about 12 hours til my flight I'm hoping I can have it ready to play on the plane ✈️
Man; I beat the game on PC and Xbox One and now I am sitting in front of my Switch waiting for the game to unlock. Come on Nintendo, my body is Reggie for more Cuphead!
My guess at this point is that the game will unlock at standard eShop unlock time (which, for Europe is in 5 hours and 40 minutes, longer wait for the US). AFAIK, there has been no communication from Studio MDHR that they have selected any other unlock time.

I am finding the controls using the joycons quite unresponsive and a bit awkward. The shooting seems to stop randomly, odd. The dash button also feels odd, but you can remap.
Disappointing, anyone else with similar issues?

What territory are you in? I'm in the UK and it's still on preorder.
Hoping to play at lunch at 1pm, but others are saying it will go live at 2pm. I don't understand why it doesn't go live midnight.
I've known the eShop update a little later than that. I've never preordered a game digitally so haven't known the frustration, but man they need to fix this. If it releases on 17th April, it needs to be out on the 17th of April.
Yeah don't think I've ever had a problem with Nintendo's stuff when it comes to unlocking on time. Maybe hit up the devs they might be able to advise?
I sooo can't wait to get this next week when I get paid. Unfortunately, this game looks crazy hard, I'll need a Konami cheat code for extra lives or I'll probably never finish... my gaming skills aren't what they used to be.

The Rhythm Heaven series actually harkens back to this era of Nintendo in its own in-game art and animation too!
Who knows? With Nintendo now willing to license out their IP to indie devs, perhaps we could see this style make more of a comeback!
On the Switch eShop, it's up to the developer to set the launch time, if it want to have it at a different time than the default time.
Odd how devs would want the game out at any other time than midnight. Just seems like a simple choice

The eshop page says 'playable starting 18.04.2019'. For the past 14 hours that statement is wrong.
Probably One hour to go... Anyway I've the kids to take care of so I won't be able to play this before this evening.
