"We leave greed to others."

CDPR skipping over the bit where they greedily exploit their workers I guess. Slay a bit

Nowhere in that tweet it says "no microtransactions", by the way. Also, it doesn't prevent some sort of online mode to be available alongside the single player component.

Instead like Blizzard, these are the people allowed to take shots like that at greedy business practices. Love it.

Why are people taking the word of them? Games changes over years, they can add microtransactions in at the last minute or post-release - as has happened MANY times before.

Don't celebrate quite yet, wait for the release.

Who's word should people take?
It isn't a matter of choosing somebody's work to take, but about being wary of what AAA developers say these days. There's nothing in that tweet that suggests 2020 won't have microtransactions - and based on history - there's still a high chance the game will have them added in before or post-launch.

But how will they be able to do it? Games are so expensive to make these days and the price of games has not gone up. Without microtransactions and stuff there is no way this game can be successful. Somebody should let them know!

They said "Nothing less than The Witcher 3". So we are expecting a huge game, free Dlc, no MT and big expansions.
Or, you know, a huge game, free DLC, big expansions and MTs. That's still not less than The Witcher 3.
But how will they be able to do it? Games are so expensive to make these days and the price of games has not gone up. Without microtransactions and stuff there is no way this game can be successful. Somebody should let them know!
This is a terrible example to try to make this dumb-ass point. Not only they are in Poland where development costs are much lower, they also treat their employees like shit.

That tweet might be true, but I still expect microtransactions or some form of long term monetization in the multiplayer aspect. Anybody who reads that tweet and comes away with the OP's title is naive, to say the least.

It's suspicious they didn't outright say it won't have MTX.
