I think I'd be alright with any of the three having a home on my Switch, although I have the first game on 4 platforms already and the second on 3. Portability goes a long way for me.

1>2>3

I found 3 to be utterly insufferable. It did everything wrong.

How can you say this when 2 hosts some of the worst mission and combat design in the series lmfao

The entirety of Darksiders 2's second act is longer than Darksiders 3 and that game consists of meaningless fetch questing and wading through fodder

I heard 3 was pretty bad so a 1 + 2 combo would be nice. I am not in the market for it, and I have no idea how the game would do. I thought 3 essentially bombed so I'd guess the series is dead

Why do I get the feeling that those two have the same Twitter operator?

That said, would be good if they released the trilogy in one package exclusive for switch for a change.

Wouldn't surprise me at all tbh. Both of 'em even came out on the WiiU, with the first being a shockingly late release (that is to say it's cool that they committed to releasing it even if it was probably a total moneyhole).

Also it's always fun to see people's series preferences in Darksiders threads! I do wish people wouldn't be so catty about them, though. Let people like what they like! My preference is 3>2>1.

There sure is a lot of different opinions about every game in the series.

I haven't played 3 yet, so I'm 1 > 2.

Hopefully the first one, I'd buy that for my Switch. The second one is too long and looty for my taste even though it has some great moments. Darksiders III would probably look/run like shit on the Switch and I just played it on my PC - great game though!

3 was my favourite, warts and all. I somehow have my doubts about it making it to Switch but hopefully more people get to play it.

I've always thought about trying these one day. If they bring the trilogy to Switch in one package, I'd be down.

I'd bite. I started playing DS1 on the 360 forever ago, but never finished it. I'd definitely get through it the second time if it were on Switch, 'cuz I can play it anywhere!

I'd be interested but what about the prices?

THQNordic games are too expensive on Switch: Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy (great game but from the Gamecube era) is launching this month at $29,99 but you can find it already on Steam for half the price (and discounts for their games are always better on PC)

heh i preordered that one for fullprice. its worth it for me because i heard its a real gem and i love that its portable. id also gladly pay that price for games like prince of persia, metal arms or assassins creed.

Put me on the how the hell has this not happened yet list. Darksiders is one of the series I would havr expected Switch to have from Day 1.

Darksiders 3 is running on UE4, right? If that's the case, I can't see why it wouldn't be possible for them to bring it over. They'd probably have to do some work on making the scaled-down assets not look awful, but it's probable. I think DS3's poor performance (sales wise) on other consoles would be a bigger problem. Not much sense in putting the work in for a game that wasn't exactly critically acclaimed.
