Theatrically released on October 19, 2001.

It's a fantastic film, and home of some of the best scenes ever. Forget the haters, y'all.

Saw it in the theater-one of my top ten films of all time. A perfect portrayal of dream logic.

incredible film, rewatched it just a couple weeks ago actually. Club Silencio is maybe my favorite scene in any movie.

This is the film that converted me into a film studies major. It was the first film that was presented in my elective film plus philosophy class and was such a trip.

I watched it when I was way too young and all I remember was that it was dumb AF, stupid, waste of time trash.

I don't know that I'll ever rewatch it...

I kind of ashamed the amount of movies I've see this isn't one of them. Probably because I watched twin peaks on acid and if fucked me up :/

I first watched MD lying in bed with my laptop on my chest... goddamn I nearly fucking broke my laptop with that jump-scare.

Also, Club Silencio is one of the most iconic and greatest film scenes ever.

Definitely an amazing film.

I adored Lost Highway, and Inland Empire was also really good (if meandering), but I think Mulholland Drive is the best of his bizarre psycho-sexual dramas.

Dude is nuts, and also brilliant.

This movie is incredibly good. The audition scene just sucks you in.

You really need to see the movie and tone leading up to it for it to land as effectively as it should. The contrast hits hard.

Mulholland Drive is still my favorite Lynch work. I love movies that portray LA/Hollywood as a sinister place but in a vaguely supernatural and fantastical way, which is more fun than thinking about the otherwise grimy hole of real depravity that is the actual city itself.

Got to watch this a couple months ago at the TIFF Lightbox and the theater was almost full. It was an awesome experience.

I was in high school and saw it on HBO a few times after it came out but didn't understand and got frustrated and thought it was bad. I love it now that I am less dumb.

I'm a big Lynch fan-I think Mulholland Drive is endlessly fascinating and a masterpiece. But I think Inland Empire is a big waste of time. It's a narrow line.

One of the best films ever made. Easily.

Here's hoping 2020 brings good news for Twin Peaks fans as well.

Blue Velvet says hi.
How do you all rank his movies? My personal preference from most to least liked:

***All time favorites***
Mulholland Drive
Twin Peaks Pilot the night it aired

***Love***
Twin Peaks Season 3
His short for Lumiere and Company "Premonition Following an Evil Deed"
Blue Velvet
First Part of Lost Highway
The Elephant Man

***Like***
Eraserhead
Inland Empire
Dune

***Don't Care***
The Straight Story
Twin Peaks Pilot today
Second Part of Lost highway
Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me

***Dislike***
Twin Peaks Season 1
Wild at Heart
Twin Peaks Season 2

I considered it, but chose to stick to his recent works.

Blue Velvet is certainly up there, but it's too grounded in the 80s IMO, and I still think Mulholland Drive is better.

But I think Inland Empire is a big waste of time. It's a narrow line.
I thought it was fantastic and pretty atypical. It's just overlong and a bit muddled.

It's like a stage play in a foreign language you don't understand. All you can do is try to guess at what's happening based on how the actors are playing.

And it's still the best movie since then. So many amazing scenes:

-Winkies
-Espresso
-Cowboy
-Audition
-Casting scene/"This is the girl"
-Club Silencio
-"Shortcut"
-Engagement party

It's also ridiculously re-watchable as you pick up on new details each time.
