The best part about Black Manta being in A1 is that we'll get another "you again?" moment with Arthur in A2. I liked him going "I told you to not make this a thing" during the Italy fight.

Yeah, he's great but they should have cut out the whole father/son talk and fleshed it out a little bit in the sequel as a flash back or something. It felt incredibly rushed.

It would've flowed better and maybe expanded more on orm and the other kingdoms more but I understand going all in.

It's a fucking aquaman movie, they didn't know if it was gonna get a sequel.

Also everybody knows joss ruined JL, he couldn't even hack it at ultron.

I'm glad that Manta was in the movie and I hope he eventually gets his solo film. On another topic, if Shazam is successful I fully expect WB to announce Blue Beetle during SDCC. It will likely end up being by New Line Cinema as well.

Jaime and static, all in baby.

I think they should reall double down on representation and rip the Apache chief kid from YJ and keep him as jaime's bff.

Lmfao all of these words to say nothing at all

This is how I would write my essays in high school

Damn he straight up says Whedon ruined JL lol

He also confirmed Snyder's original six film plan. I wish he would have gone further into BvS production issues that he briefly brought up
Does he say what Snyder's planned film(s) after JL1 and 2 were (also, I thought it was five-film plan)?

Man of Steel, BvS, JL1, Mos2, JL2, JL3 (with 2 and 3 being a 2 parter).

He said what we all guessed, that his entire arc was about Superman starting out as a man that had doubts and questioned his place in the world and would end with him as the classic Superman we all know and love. It was just taking too long for him to get there in WB's eyes, so they had him rush to get it in the first JL movie.

It was as much about humankind getting to that stage. The arc was literally "they will stumble, they will fall, but in time they will join you in the sun."

So basically we as a society were more doom and gloom than the movies.

I don't know if I'd say that. For a big Hollywood blockbuster, people want instant gratification most of the time. Considering the cost and scope, BvS was incredibly bold. It just didn't play with audiences.

DAMN! The full run through of the Batman warehouse fight by the stunt people. This shit is awesome

There's even more than what's there and it was filmed. The one shot of Batman throwing a good into some boxes/crates is in the final trailer. I guess they decided to cut it down at a point to flow better, especially with the KG Beast and Martha reaction shots.

This is a pretty interesting listen around the 1 hour mark with a guy who runs test screenings for WB. He talks about the JL screenings like Whedons involvement and also talks about the aquaman screenings says there wasn't allot of humor in the original script/early screening. WB changed that because they wanted Jason to be more like Iron Man apparently. Also James Wan didn't really feel Black Manta should've been in the film but Geoff John's was adamant about keeping him. Who knows how much of this is true

Hmm, so a podcaster invited another podcaster from the same network and his brother, a guest-starring actor, who happens to be in charge of the JL and Aquaman test-screenings. And this guy knows all about what happened behind the scene during Aquaman production, even the secret exchanges between Wan and Snyder. And everything matches the Snyder stans version of the production...
If it's true he won't work for WB again.

That shot should have so made it in. Fucking KGBeast ruining a perfect scene! Also that throw near the end is different. It did look a bit silly.

The audio of Titans on Netflix is really bad. Very low, no spacialisation. Was it like that on DC Universe ?

I hate to be the bringer of bad news, but the notion that BvS is actually good have publicly died this week.

I love the Shazam suit myself, could have put a couple more millions into it tho, maybe to increase bulge size, thoughts Peter?

So is that why I saw a post on the Twitters disputing the idea that people who like BvS are mostly conservatives and Trump supporters?

I saw that briefly. From what I gather, trash xenophobe and transphobe (to name a few) person said he liked BvS, and secondary trash sexual assault enabler/apologist person retweeted it in an attempt conflating the two. So, another day of emotionally stunted and insecure folk living for Twitter drama.

And it serves as a reminder that it's a nearly three year old movie these dudes obsess over because I guess that's the extent of their worldview.

But wasn't the JL following BvS a two-parter?

Funnily enough, had that still happened, part two would be coming out this summer!

That's what I was thinking too, if I'm not mistaken JL was going to be a two part movie before BvS even came out and when it did come and people hated it the two part JL became a one part movie.

For what its worth, I was being very tongue in cheek here - I dont think anyone should stop liking a movie they like just because some assholes decided they also like it now .

Sigh I just want that flash movie :/

On Shazam, guess that means by opening weekend it could make all of its production money back? Not including marketing

Pretty good overall

Sandberg knowing how to work within a small/tight budget. WB must love these horror directors taking control and making them all the money in the world now.

Damn, was hoping for Trevante Rhodes as John, but seems like he's too "old" for it

Wonder if they try to rope in B Cooper as Hal. He's the only A lister WB has in that age range that I think would be open for a cape flick. Wild card choice would be Jason Sudeikis.
