Killer fps is still rough on some maps but the survivor fps is pretty good compared to what it was. They still need some work tho

New Freddy looks fun as hell to play as, except snares are useless, no way will anyone fall for them when they are giant red billboards saying,"Stand here for free money!" No one is going to fall for that.

Pallets should be default and snares tossed in the trash. 15% slow down is nothing.

Jesus this game is dreadful in the higher ranks. I've had the game since launch, and while I adore this game, I never put a ton of time into it each month, so my rank has always hovered around 15 or so. Well I've played a good amount since the last double XP event, and now that I'm at rank 7 survivor, the game has taken a huge dive for me. For some reason other survivors seem to play worse now, from running at the killers head on to not touching gens, to the disconnections, it's frustrating. I'm also seeing a smaller pool of killers, mostly Spirit and Ghostface, and a lot of them run ebony mori. Considering how long it takes to get into a game, these shorter games means I'm spending more time searching for matches and earning less and less bloodpoints.

It really sucks when your favorite MP game of the generation makes you want to put it down for a couple months so you can derank and go back to seeing normal survivors and a larger variety of killers.

Purple ranks are still fun IMO. It's the best place to be in for both survivor and killer since there is a mix play styles and variety. I play solo survivor so you're always going to have survivors that are either good or completely useless. It's the luck of the draw. Playing in those ranks does mean that there is less killer variety especially at red ranks, which sucks but you also have to see it from the killer's perspective in the sense that at those ranks, it's a lot harder for them to use other killers that are not Billy, Spirit, or Nurse. I think you're just having a bad streak of games which happens. It happens to me, but you just move on to the next game.

I do agree about matchmaking and the disconnects from both survivors and killers. They are starting to do something about DC's until dedicated servers are out, so that's a good step. Matchmaking though is a different story because it does take forever to find a match as a survivor. Especially on PS4. it was blazing fast during the BP event, but now that it's over and the hype for Ghostface has settled down, we are back to long wait times. :/

Im rank 6 survivor on PS4 and the wait times are around 2 minutes, but i get a lot of DCs pre match so sometimes it takes 2-3 lobbys to actually play a match...

Yeah I play on PS4 as well, and the matchingmaking during the BP event spoiled me....

You are right though. I think I'm just frustrated at a couple of days of horrible luck. And I get it about players only using those killers at the red ranks. I've read on various forums about killers like Clown and Trapper getting smashed due to the inability to be unpredictable. At the end of the day though I like to see a wide assortment of killers, which I guess is kind of unfair to ask in the purple and red ranks.

As much as I want to put the game down, I think I might try playing killer more as I'm only rank 19 there. Wouldn't hurt to experience more of that side of the game. It's just so damn stressful! My heart races more as a killer than a survivor.

Yeah rank reset is weird. Im getting terrible survivor teammates. I was rank 4 and now im rank 10 but the game fills my lobby with rank 15+ survivors sigh...

They're having some kind of issue with the L4D content on PS4, so that along with the 4 new languages won't be coming in tomorrow's update for DbD. We're still getting the patch and reworked Freddy, but no L4D or 4 new languages. Supposedly they're working on it ASAP.

  • Content - Added support for 4 new languages: Latin American Spanish, Dutch, Turkish and Swedish.

BALANCE
Badham Preschool map changes

  • Added 5 new variations of the Badham Preschool map.
  • Adjusted the safety rating of each pallet loop in the maps.
  • Diversified the number of sides a generator could be repaired from on all tiles.
  • Each tile is now unique and will only spawn once.
  • Improved totem hiding spots.
  • Reduced the minimum distance between pallets to 8 meters.
Bloodpoint balancing

Adjusted some score event for Survivors:

  • Increased Cleansing (dull totem) from 600 to 1000.
  • Increased Cleansing (hex totem) from 1000 to 1500.
  • Increased Map Scout from 150 to 250.
  • Increased healing an ally without a medkit after the exits were powered from 500 to 700 (percentage based).
  • Increased healing an ally without a medkit before the exits were powered from 400 to 500 (percentage based).
  • Increased the Hatch Escape score event from 2000 to 2500.
  • Increased the Killer Blind score event from 250 to 400 (outside of a chase).

Killer score events:

Gameplay

  • Added a visual and SFX notification when affected by the Exposed status effect.
  • Adjusted the cooldown for successful Cannibal chainsaw attacks to be the same as that for a missed chainsaw attack (adjusted movement speed and reduced duration from 3 seconds to 2 seconds).
Survivor perk changes

Head On:

  • Added text to stipulate the condition that you cannot use Head On if you have accrued idle crows.
  • After the perk conditions are met, you will perform the Head On action when you rush out of a locker. Head On will cause exhaustion only when stunning the killer.
  • Head On will stun the Killer if the Killer enters the zone during the Head On animation or if the Killer was already in the zone when Head On is activated.
THE NIGHTMARE CHANGES
Gameplay & power changes

Microsleep:

  • Awake Survivors will see The Nightmare within 16 meters, The Nightmare will be intermittent from 16 meters to 32 meters, and while awake Survivors will hear The Nightmare emit a Terror Radius of 32 meters.
Falling Asleep:

  • Survivors fall asleep passively over 60 seconds. Once asleep survivors see The Nightmare and hear The Nightmare emit a 2D 32 meter Lullaby instead of a Terror Radius. Once asleep Survivors will see the aura of an Alarm Clock on a dresser.
Waking Up:

  • An awake Survivor can wake up a sleeping Survivor.
  • Survivors can wake up by failing skill checks.
  • Survivors can wake up by going to and removing an Alarm Clock off a dresser.
Dream Abilities

Dream Snares:

  • Dream Snares slow and reveal a Survivors location.
  • Only effective and visible towards Sleeping Survivors.
  • Killers start with 8 tokens, each Snare costs 1 token to place. Only 8 traps can be placed at one time.
Dream Projection:

  • Channel the ability to create a husk of The Nightmare at the targeted generator, complete the channel to take the position of the husk.
  • Can be cancelled.
  • For each sleeping Survivor gain a 15% cool down reduction on Dream Projection.


Misc Nightmare changes

  • Loading tips for The Nightmare and playing against The Nightmare have been updated.
  • Power Description and Power Tooltip updated for The Nightmare.
  • All of The Nightmare's add-ons have been modified to function with his new power set. If you have add-ons for The Nightmare, they will be exchanged for the new ones.
  • Failing a hook sabotage skill check will wake up an asleep Survivor.

Game feels smoother on the Pro. Might be placebo but a lot of those annoying microstutters are gone or reduced. Playing againts new freddy is fun

They fixed the sprint burst, but killed dead hard lol Yeah, dead hard needs to be fixed asap. Same with bbq and chill, I needs my blood points.

They should remove/rework hex ruin and introduce more shit to do as a survivor to slow down gen speeds. Gens go fast on higher ranks even with ruin and its boring to do ruin skillchecks every game. Also when you are the killer and your ruin totem pops off in the 1st min...oof. Some of the totem placements are so stupid in this game.

I'm not sure if it's the same problem but lower tier versions of BBQ give you reduced stacks. I think in prior versions, you could always get 4 stacks and it just changed the distance from the hook that you can see survivors. Now Tier 1 BBQ only lets you get 2 stacks and tier 3 lets you get 4 stacks. Not sure if that's what you guys are talking about or not. I only started playing again last week after having taken a break back before the Plague came out.
