Dead Cells iOS version laggy?

I've been playing Dead Cells a lot on my PC through Game Pass and noticed the iOS version was on sale for $8. I own both an iPad and ATV4k so figured why not? One thing I noticed was that after pairing my PS4 controller to my ATV the game was pretty laggy.

Does anyone else have this experience? It makes the game unplayable.

It's capped to 30FPS by default on iOS. You might just be experiencing input latency.

Well that's disappointing. You'd think the ATV4k would be able to do better.

Please note I said "by default". You can uncap the framerate.

Options > Video > Untick "Lock at 30FPS"

Not on the Apple TV version. Just bright flashes and pixelated font.
