I remember this game being the first game i saw using unreal engine 4 in motion. That was....a long time ago.

That's surprising to me. I'm assuming the game's budget has been inflated with the troubled dev cycle and I would have guessed they'd want to reach as wide an audience as possible.

I had no idea this was even a game, and isnt Dying Light 2 in development hell? I loved both Dead Island and Dying Light :(

Briefly thought this was about Dying Light 2 - and thought this was radical but would only really matter if development effectively started over.r

Instead it's about Dead Island 2, a game that I'm still not sure has ever actually started development.

I assumed it was dead, and we have more information that it's coming still than Dying Light 2. If you would of told me Dead Island 2 would come first.. I'd of called you a liar. lol

Is it still a soul less MMO like game without the Massively Multiplayer part? Yagers original idea was fucking awful hopefully this dev team can do something decent.

I had no idea, that's an interesting dev for this kinda game. I'm keen to see how it's evolved.

There's the likelyhood that Dead Island 2 could come out before Dying Light 2, and that's all sorts of crazy.

I think when a game has already had a rough time in development, it's completely reasonable to need to trim the number of platforms they're developing and testing for, especially when something as basic as the CPU performance is so limiting on the previous round of consoles. I consider this good news.

I thought Dead Island 2 was cancelled and Dying Light have suffered a relatively big delay making them miss launch season - has there been news since of Dying Light?
