So I've been thinking, the backstory to Demise is that he was defeated by the Goddess Hylia with the help of the Hylian races.

So it would be great to get a God of War 4 style action-adventure game with a superpowered being (Hylia) in her quest to defeat Demise. You don't need to do it super realistic in art style (you can keep Skyward Sword or BOTW art style if you wanted to), but its storytelling could be a little more adult and the violence could be upped since you're dealing with mythical creatures and possibly an art style that isn't grounded in reality.

Just having something similar to the latest God of War would be fantastic because you can do really cool stuff that only a superpowered being would be capable of including flight, smashing terrain with your bare hands, climbing up a Hinox, and burying an axe in its head.

I know it doesn't sound very "Nintendo" but Metroid Prime 4 has Megan Fausti (writer for Jedi: Fallen Order) which suggests a more mature focus on Metroid. I wouldn't put it past Nintendo to again to allow a more mature game set in the Zelda Universe, so long as it wasn't blooded gushing out of every orifice. If you wanted a more classic God of War gameplay they could always go and work with Platinum Games?

Do you want to see a spin-off game set before Skyward Sword surrounding the mythos of the Gods?

Hi, I am Nintendo. We are currently experiencing a backlog of unfinished requests.
Please wait awhile and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks you.

Do not want. First, bloodier is not more mature. In fact, I find Breath of the Wild's melancholy to be a lot more mature than God of War's comic book story, sad dad or not. Second, it does not fit the mythos at all. The Zelda gods do not concern themselves with the people. And who else is there between Hylia and Demise?

Given that I found GoW 2018 to be one of the most boring games I ever played: nah, better not have them make a game like that. Those resources are better spent elsewhere.

With all the help needed and Hylia being injured heavily during the fight I don't think that she was that superpowered against Demise.
Also it is unclear that she was an active part in the war that was raging during that time

That could maybe be a fun game, but I'm really not sure what benefit such a game would get from being tied to the Zelda IP. It doesn't seem like it would really have any of the things that make a Zelda game a Zelda game, besides a tenuous connection to Hyrule's backstory. Why not just make a new IP about a goddess and have the freedom to do whatever with the story?

I do want more Zelda spin-offs, but personally I don't care much for the idea of a gritty Zelda.

I don't like the idea of making it more mature or modeling on God of War, but the idea of a game centered around the goddess Hylia would be really cool, I think. I mean, iirc, Skyward Sword establishes she was out there fighting with the people at least to some extent (the opening cinematic shows her flanked by various followers/warriors I think), so it's not an absurd idea by any means.

I also think it would be nice to have a game where you play as a goddess that isn't sexualized, but still strikes a balance between being feminine and kicking ass and taking names, as being feminine and also being physical imposing and strong are seen as mutually exclusive things a lot of the time, which is BS. The only instance of this I can think of is Bayonetta, and she's pretty sexualized and the camera is very male gaze-y, so it would be nice to have something that's not that.

But God of War is a Zelda-version of God of War...
I feel like BOTW is already as mature as a Zelda game can possibly get without loosing its` Zelda-flair.
