You're not being serious, right?
It's a reference to Final Fantasy XIII being on Xbox.
i didn't know that xD
Why doesn't Steam seemingly have some of the regional pricing EGS has again?
Lmao so many ppl that thought otherwise without even looking, considering or knowing kojimas relationship with lord gaben.
LORD GABEN, is my god.Christ, do folks still roll with that "lord gaben" nonsense in 2019?
So, Kojima has the same kind of leverage that CDPR has. Neat.
Looking forward to this, hopefully when I have less to play.
You were right it's 60$ now, thankfully I got it in time before they did it.They're changing the regional pricing on EGS for some countries, so if it is cheaper for you I'd buy it now rather than later.
Yup, its a clusterfuckYou were right it's 60$ now, thankfully I got it in time before they did it.
Epic has shown multiple times that they mainly want exclusive games with their storefront, denying small developers they've reached out to who said no to exclusivity but were willing to release on both Steam and EGS. They are willing to make exceptions, mainly with large games like this. This could also be brought up with Borderlands 3 only having six months of exclusivity.Or Paradox with Bloodlines etc.... or is the narrative that EGS doesn't have "leverage" with CK3 being on Steam only?
This reads like console warring nonsense
there's no "leverage" involved. Just people making business decisions

It's the publishers who choose the pricing.im extremely happy that big games such as death stranding and star wars jedi fallen order are coming to steam but holy hell isnt their regional pricing ridiculous with their prices for standard editions being 80 usd and 72 usd respectively, they have to fix their prices!
Lack of CAD pricing was and still is the reason why I'd never bother buying from EGS directly, so i can relate.Zero regional pricing on EGS means it costs the same as on Steam for me. Which means I have no incentive to get it there.
Assuming I do get it.
Regional pricing was the only advantage EGS had over Steam in my region.
Neither Steam nor Epic force DRM on their store, I would guess the game will have Denuvo, because I have 0 trust on 505.Now will the EGS version be DRM free? Is Control DRM free? *Yes, Death Stranding DRM free?!!!
Edit: There's this, but it seems this was done by the Devs and they removed the need to launch EGS. Their reasoning was something about dlc.
Someone confirmed on the first and second thread pages that they did in fact change it.

Yeah, I'm also fucking sad the great friend of Trump and Bolsonaro (also the greatest worker rights supporter and overall magnificent statesman) lost the elections here. /sLMFAO, epic store has it twice the price as steam in argentina, 72 dollars, plus in december here inflation will explode and the dollar will skyrocket making it much more expensive.
It's 505 published game, we shouldn't expect any better. Screw this publisher.
Lol yeah, I changed my mind. Fuck them. They're changing the regional pricing on EGS for some countries, so if it is cheaper for you I'd buy it now rather than later.
Literally no reason not to piggy-back off the release day hype. There's ads for it everywhere, people are gonna be typing it into search engines and Steam will be on the list.I'm kind of shocked that it's up to pre order on launch day of the PS4 version. It's pretty crazy.
There'll still be a lot on SteamNo cross-play confirmed between PS4 and PC, not even bewteen Steam and EGS platforms right?
This will dwindle the people interacting with the world which is not good at all.

Don't know about other regions but in Brazil it's half-price on EGS: https://www.epicgames.com/store/pt-BR/product/death-stranding/home
Death Stranding price jumped from US$14.99 to US$71.99 on EGS Argentina.
Steam is AR$2699 which translates to US$43
