Why doesn't Steam seemingly have some of the regional pricing EGS has again?

Looking forward to playing this next year. I'm planning on updating my PC by the time Cyberpunk (and by extension, this) come out.

So, Kojima has the same kind of leverage that CDPR has. Neat.

Looking forward to this, hopefully when I have less to play.

Or Paradox with Bloodlines etc.... or is the narrative that EGS doesn't have "leverage" with CK3 being on Steam only?

This reads like console warring nonsense

there's no "leverage" involved. Just people making business decisions

Epic has shown multiple times that they mainly want exclusive games with their storefront, denying small developers they've reached out to who said no to exclusivity but were willing to release on both Steam and EGS. They are willing to make exceptions, mainly with large games like this. This could also be brought up with Borderlands 3 only having six months of exclusivity.

literally adding nothing to this conversation. You're talking about CDPR and leverage KojiPro hold which is still meaningless. KojiPro have their agreement with 505 whatever discussions took place between them and other vendors has nothing to do with leverage and everything to do with their agreement and business decisions. All EGS want is to make noise, they contradict themselves consistently.

Now will the EGS version be DRM free? Is Control DRM free? *Yes, Death Stranding DRM free?!!!

Edit: There's this, but it seems this was done by the Devs and they removed the need to launch EGS. Their reasoning was something about dlc.

im extremely happy that big games such as death stranding and star wars jedi fallen order are coming to steam but holy hell isnt their regional pricing ridiculous with their prices for standard editions being 80 usd and 72 usd respectively, they have to fix their prices!

Great Steam pricing in Argentina: AR $2699, roughly US $42. EGS still US $72 down here.

Death Stranding price jumped from USD $14.99 to USD $71.99 on EGS Argentina.

Steam is AR$2699 which translates to USD $43

It's the publishers who choose the pricing.

Zero regional pricing on EGS means it costs the same as on Steam for me. Which means I have no incentive to get it there.

Assuming I do get it.

Regional pricing was the only advantage EGS had over Steam in my region.
Lack of CAD pricing was and still is the reason why I'd never bother buying from EGS directly, so i can relate.

Oh I am shocked I'll actually be playing Death Stranding this summer. Seemed like a shoo-in for EGS exclusivity.

Neither Steam nor Epic force DRM on their store, I would guess the game will have Denuvo, because I have 0 trust on 505.

LMFAO, epic store has it twice the price as steam in argentina, 72 dollars, plus in december here inflation will explode and the dollar will skyrocket making it much more expensive.

Yeah, I'm also fucking sad the great friend of Trump and Bolsonaro (also the greatest worker rights supporter and overall magnificent statesman) lost the elections here. /s
from $9 (well, maybe $15) to $63 in 3,5 years... what the actual fuck!?

No cross-play confirmed between PS4 and PC, not even bewteen Steam and EGS platforms right?
This will dwindle the people interacting with the world which is not good at all.

NINETY NINE DOLLARS AND NINETY FIVE CENTS on the Australian Steam store. And $69 US on EGS, which is pretty much the same.

Who comes up with these prices? A physical PS4 copy is literally $30 cheaper on day one; you'll be able to get it for like $20 by the time the PC version actually comes out.
