Was looking at Best Buy's listing for the Death Stranding LE PS4 Pro and saw this at the back of the packaging. It says "55GB Minimum" so I guess it's not accounting for a potential day one patch.

Yeah agreed. How big was Spider-Man's base game? I think it and Death Stranding are in the same ballpark.

this is actually bigger than spiderman (53GB) and horizon (48GB) with all their DLCs included.

I'm surprised by how reasonable these all are o.O What's the biggest game they've released in terms of filesize? GT Sport?

This thread made me realize Sony open world games are surprisingly small in file size in comparison to their big, gorgeous game worlds.

A lot of AAA games are near 30 or 50 gigs, certainly not 100 lol. I guess that poster got confused with high-res texture packs pushing some games close to 100, or RDR2/Destiny 2, but these are the outliers not the norm.

Seems...kinda small considering all the dialogue, cutscenes, etc that are a staple of Kojima games.

Sony first party always smaller than expected with the exception of Last Of Us Remastered. I'm guessing it has something to do with the engine.
