He doesn't sound upset. Though it seems he was sensing you being quite a bit upset over the prospect of Sony being a distant third in the upcoming numbers.
Pork posts whenever they want to. It's not a big deal to wait even a few days.
Pork usually posts the next day, possibly even later. There was also one poster (a very new one) that said numbers were delayed
It already reached God-hood status when it took 3 weeks in Japan to outsell the biggest title of 2018, MHW, which had an entire year. Unfortunately, there are a few Vegetas in this thread that need to be taught a lesson ;)
Generally speaking, it seems all 3 are gonna put up some pretty scary numbers. I hope the results get posted at the end of my shift so I can wade through the responses all evening.

Well, for one, Very rarely am I upset about something in a forum. And like, I dont know how someone could have taken what I posted as offensive. The gif as genuinely funny, yes, but I felt like I wanted to drop a quick fact as I encountered some wild statements made over here regarding the Switch sucess and how that translates to revenue margins compared to Sony (who has consistently outperformed both Microsoft and Nintendo and almost double on the quarterly reports). I'm 'sensing' some folks dont like reminding that Sony is in fact on top, I guess.

Switch sales are exciting. From afar it appears to have been a monster in December. I'm curious as to how this bodes for the overstated 20 million target?
At the very least it appears switch will have no problem reaching its software targets, though I'm not sure Nintendo really knew how to target when they've never had a really good and active digital scene. 3DS' eshop grew better toward the end of its life, and Wii u's was solid too, but I think consumers were far more resistant to digital distribution at that time.

It would really help Nintendo reach that goal if they were somewhere over 2 million for December.
The digital growth has surely surprised Nintendo and that is probably one factor into them (most likely) beating their software forecast, but really physical sales have been excelling as well.
There isn't, NPD gets POS data for almost the entire NA market, including online channels.

Digital sales will be extremely important for Nintendo earnings.
It's one of the top parameter to watch because they were (are) so far behind the competition.
The 22nd is when the report is shown to the public. Usually we get numbers earlier than that, like today for example via leaks.

Hey if I could be bothered I'd love to have Shulk holding the Raijinto but the Monado is fine as the 2nd best sword in a video game.

Makes sense. Contrary to ERA's belif "gen I nostalgia" won't push tens of millions of casuals to spend $360+tax for Let's Go, and the "hardcore" Pokémon community is now very big, people that grow up with Pokémon are now in their 20s-30s.

I think MK8D is beginning to out-leg MKWii. My gut is that Nintendo Q3 numbers will report a WW Q3 figure for MK8D that surpasses any quarterly shipment figure for MKWii aside from the opening quarter. US Breakdown through mid December. Hope we get PR from Nintendo talking about CY 2018 sales for evergreens to add granularity.

It's a remake of a third version which they have experimented with a bit. TPCi seem perfectly fine with the sales as has been stated in a thread yesterday so shall we not get into this?
I have to wake up at 3. Not upset though since I'm rooting for Nintendo to have their best-selling console with the Switch.
Your MKWII total shipments seem strange to me: it's shipped 37.14 million as of last quarter, did it really ship 15 million in the last two years (it probably didn't)?
That 8 should be a 2. Not sure why I put 8, its just a typo.
FY 08 and FY 09 shipped total is 22,550,000. It shipped ~15M from FY10 - FY18Q2.
It's simply GTA V type of sales. Only GTA V did it longer and on 5 different platforms. But Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is having GTA V sales number in the Switch.
I would be very interested in MK8D WW sales in Q3. It might could give us a hint about what its LTD could end up being. Personally, I except them to top 3M.
My guts tell me that it will sell at least 25M when it's all said and done. But even that might be a bit conservative.

Where did I wrote that it sold poorly? I'm simply stating a fact, contrary to what a big part of ERA tought this isn't gonna sell 30 millions because "gen I".

Please show me where "a big part of ERA" said this? Most said that it would sell like a Pokemon game and that is what it has done. Of course you get some people who go crazy with their predictions on both ends but lets not pretend that this was the general consensus. There's always a chance that a game targeted more towards the casual market can completely blow up and do crazy numbers but that's always a slim chance.
