Ah. I'm not saying they're not, I do think they're worthy of eventually becoming Pillars of course. It's just that they're not all there yet.

Giyu says pretty clearly that Tanjiro is on the level of a pillar
He needs better feats then.Giyu says pretty clearly that Tanjiro is on the level of a pillar
compared to what?
None of his UM fighst have left me feeling like he was on par with the pillars he fought alongside.compared to what?
he beat an upper moon. his feats are on par with other pillars
what do you mean by plant-like aura?Probably more history about Hinokami Kagura. I could be more surprising if that dance was older than sun breathing itself, like Yoriichi is inspired by them.
Let's be crazy, Yori still has some kind aura that intimidate koku, whereas Tanjirou (and his father) have plant-like aura.
Akaza???None of his UM fighst have left me feeling like he was on par with the pillars he fought alongside.
Really? He decapitated Akaza, something neither Giyu nor Rengoku could doNone of his UM fighst have left me feeling like he was on par with the pillars he fought alongside.
Because he's the MC.Really? He decapitated Akaza, something neither Giyu nor Rengoku could do
Tanjiro isn't weak, but Akaza giving up and killing himself takes away from the impressiveness of that fight imo.
If we go by that none of the pillars are pillar level 😏 except the only one to 1v1 a upper moon best mist boy. Otherwise the boy's and girls growth have been pretty consistent. I'd put all 5 of them on pillar level imo"Tanjiro is not pillar level!!"
Yeah we weren't in the manga that he is. /s

He got solo'd he lost all will to remember what life was like 😂😂Tokito was so savage that we didn't even got a flashback for that upper demon lol the only one not to get a single reference to his past life.
Yo, that... makes a ton of sense. Rather than being a fighting style disguised as a dance, have it be a dance that was turned into a fighting style - he learned the breathing from them, and then developed the sword techniques from the movements. Maybe the origin of it loops back around to being a fighting style from some point in the far distant past, even...Probably more history about Hinokami Kagura. Reminds me a little of ATLA.Yo, that... makes a ton of sense. Well now I goty watch the whole series again thx alot
He wasn't wearing them when he was old. So it's possible he passed them down which may have been the start of the tradition.Only thing that wouldn't make sense to me is the ear rings. Did he copy their ear rings or did he give the ear rings to the head of the family to pass down the style to whoever learns the dance?
He had them in that flashback with Tanjiro's ancestor, but not when he saw his brother, so I think he just gave them to the family when he either learned or taught the techniques.Only thing that wouldn't make sense to me is the ear rings. I quite like the quick pacing (Black Clover and Dr. Stone are also rather quickly paced), though it's making some of the other manga I read feel glacial in comparison.I'm not really hurting too much from these deaths because they're happening too back to back. That might be imho the biggest negative to the story. There has been little breathing room.
Yeah even though I love the pacing, the deaths are not affecting me as much. That being said, still wanted Genya and Tokito to survive somehow.I'm not really hurting too much from these deaths because they're happening too back to back. That might be imho the biggest negative to the story. There has been little breathing room.
You're in the manga thread so watch out for spoilers. This isn't typical shounen. Keep watching.I'm enjoying this, up to episode 6 I think now? They just finished their first trial thing to be inducted into the demon hunter society.
A lot of it feels SUPER derivative, like we've just swapped out ninjas or shinigami for yokai and oni, but moments like Episode 2's where Nezuko boots off that guy's head are entertaining enough to keep my interest.
Does it continue to stay weird or does it fall into the shounen "power up and monologue at bad guys" routine like the last few episodes?
