Demons is legitimately my favourite souls game, but I think the things I like about it won't resonate as well with fans of the franchise who haven't played it yet. I liked the smaller scope. The game is what, 20 levels long and you're done right? or is it less than twenty? Which speaking of: Levels. I genuinely preferred the stage based gameplay to the big open worlds of the later games. Everything was just tighter and more straightforward. I never had a moment in demons souls where I was trying to remember which of the 5 different paths had things I hadn't fully gone down yet or whatever, you know what I mean? You could just look at the archstone's and say "oh, I haven't done world 2-3 yet"
