22 years seems way too low to me but apparently the average sentence for second degree murder in Minnesota is 10 to 15 years.

22 years is going to be a long time for this guy. Hopefully he serves every single day of it. He deserves even more.

Edit: WTF is up with this piece of shit? What an f-ed up thing to say.

22 years for committing murder in front of millions of witnesses feels like nothing.

Fucking hell.

That “I have secret information” statement targeted at Floyd’s family is clearly not actually meant for Floyd’s family. It feels like a desperate Hail Mary pass to the media who will amplify that conspiracy-baiting statement and keep Chauvin’s name circulating for a longer period than he deserves. I bet they’re trying to court those types of right wing crowds who feel disgusting sympathy for similar pricks like Mark Fuhrman on Fox News.

My gut tells me they’re laying the groundwork to drum up public sympathy for his inevitable sentencing appeals.

What the fuck cryptic ass statement is that. You know damn well that that message is not going to help the family at all, just make them feel worse.

Would have preferred the full 30, but still plenty long time. Hope he serves every minute of his sentence.

22 years is not enough. But I have a feeling he might have a tougher time than most.

What is he doing with this "information" that would be of interest in the future? Like, shut the fuck up and spill it out asshole, this family has been through enough to play along with your fucking silly games, racist piece of shit.

I hope he stays in there for all of it, instead of getting let out early for good behavior or some shit.

I mean... probably not?

He'll be in protected custody the whole time. All ex-cops are. I wouldn't doubt he gets a soft shake from the wannabe cops that make up prison guards either.

But at least it's the rest of his active years gone.

Obviously everybody knows who this dude and the fact he's an ex-cop he's going to have a miserable 22 years. Assuming he even makes it that long.
