They also said temporary solution with vault space.

There must be something screwy behind the scenes for inventory/vault space that causes it to be a challenge for them.

Hope they can find a solution.

The only restriction they have listed so far is data storage which is a pretty bad excuse for this kind of game. Once they add in collection kiosks it wont be as bad at least so the vault can be solely for infusion junk and spare mods/shaders.

I haven't really given the gotta go fast update a spin until tonight, played some 6v6 IB and from my experience things have gotten just considerably better. Though Colony seems especially ridiculous now with the power ammo changes. My last match ended up being a 4v5 but we managed to turn it around in the last moment with a one point lead. I'm finding that encounters are less about blobby team shotting now, and it's just a lot less frustrating win or lose. Good change.

The heroic strike modifiers are fine. Not really worse than D1's save for the lack of small arms (my favorite in D1). At least there are no annoying ones like trickle or exposure.

I've still seen plenty of teamshotting, in fact I've seen 6 man blobs running around and it doesn't get any more pathetic than that.

Overall it's slightly better I agree, but there's still the ttk issue and that's where D1 has this game. 6v6 needs to be the standard but it still needs tweaked a bit.

The Took Offense Armor set vs S2 ornaments vs S3 ornaments.

lol

I guess I thought they looked alright, the health orb pickup seems like it could be interesting at least.

Rotating burns I really enjoyed because I actually switched my spec up for them.

I totally agree. I was excited for strike modifiers, but these are really underwhelming, just like the rest of D2 has been so far. 25% damage increase for burns? That isn't even going to be noticeable.

I was thinking about loot rolls and if Bungie never truly brings them back something that would be doable imho would be having different models of all weapons all with increasing power the better they get.

So let's say there are 6 Hawthorne shotgun models, you'd have a lower tier model that would build up towards the top tier model with the best perks. You do this with every weapon that is droppable in these activities and you'd have a decent array of gear to shoot for

This would make for a decently fun grind without the fear of never getting the exact God rolls so to speak, you'd eventually get a tier 6 model.

I prefer rolls and it's what I feel is the best option, but I would take something like that as well to add a nice overall grind for crucible and other activities. Add that onto some more of your special rewards like DFA etc and that would make every match or strike just a bit more meaningful

25% is really good especially when combined with all the other power upgrades we have seen since they started making all these changes

Did we not just see the Darci with its 4X damage boost? Tack on a 25% burn and damn son

That's one weapon. Burns were 3x (2x after being nerfed) damage in D1, and it made a meaningful difference. 25% may not even change the amount of shots to kill. They're also making heroic strikes more difficult.

They need to stop worrying about giving people too much power and just let them have fun. It's a modifier for strikes, it's not like we'd get triple damage in raids or something.

Personally I'm pleased it's only a 25% singe. Final judgment to wait till I've played it of course.

I recently played the heroic strike playlist in d1, which was Void Burn that week, and the boss (taken nexus mind) was able to destroy me so quickly due to the burn. I kept dying as soon as I strafed out of cover to try to shoot it with a HMG.

Heroic strikes in their current form are too easy but I wasn't a huge fan of the Y2 or y3 heroic strike playlists with those crushingly powerful burns either. I remember arguing with a friend even back then saying hey let's play the playlist without burns (taken war playlist instead of SIVA playlist) as that will be more fun...

100 extra slots is a nice surprise compared to the 50 promised. Still need more but 100 will make storing all of my shaders and mods a bit easier.

Singe is only 25% because we have two primaries. If it's 2x damage again then why would anyone ever want to use kinetic weapons? It's a weapon slot problem and the lower burn is the bandaid solution.

Yea I guess that's the same issue as D1 Y1 where elemental primaries made all the other legendary primaries obsolete for content with Burns. (Thus leading to bungie getting rid of them outside Zhalo and their return as Exotics in the end of Y3)

With this new famine modifier you aren't gonna be able to avoid using your Kinetic as well though :)

I'm actually really excited for this new expansion. I wasn't a big fan of the game but with all these new changes I've been having a blast in Iron Banner. Better late than never I suppose, hope they keep this momentum!

Its does seem we are finally over the hump and things are about to get even crazier

I don't expect Warmind to be massive but the shake up to the exotics and the loot chases are going to make for some very interesting gameplay and builds

At this point, seeing as I have everything, I'm just weighing up if it's worth losing any potential Masterwork shards by gambling and leaving them unclaimed.

I think I'll just grab mine now as the last thing I want is a potential bug to crop up concerning old and new milestone rewards that would affect the player negatively as far as progression goes.

I still wish we could pre-load this stuff like we have in the past concerning Destiny 1 expansions where the content update was released a few weeks prior to the actual launch.

"May be lost"

I have everything the game currently has to offer so I might as well just gamble. I have nothing to lose and everything to win.

Hydras are dumb in general with their endless spam. I agree, it could be dumb with certain bosses and certain combinations of modifiers.

That being said I played D1 a while back and the modifiers were Solar Burn/Small Arms. Running through strikes with Genesis Chain was incredibly fun.

People actually think they will get to carry things over in this day and age? Don't forget they also lurk everywhere so any little chat will remind them of such things.

Man, weekend before DLC2. During this period three years ago, it was the great Engrampocalypse, what with the surprise Queen's Wrath return and everyone farming public Wolves in hopes of Treasure Keys. The OG sparrow racing. Good fucking times.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited for Warmind at all, but I'm certainly very... mellow, about the whole thing. It's hard to build up hype for this when we all know the real stuff is coming in September.

No, it was a surprise addition. Bungie employees added some additional context on Reddit saying they had discovered an "exploit" to level up more quickly using multiples of the same class and this was the only way they had available to close it off. (They don't want people to be forced to feel like they need to run 3 of the same class as in the early days of D1 or be left behind).

Doesn't affect me since I always do one hunter , one warlock, and one Titan but hopefully they can revisit this in September or sooner for those who play 3 of a class because they can't stand to play as the other classes.

Meh, non issue. You still get rewards on all classes. Only people who did this were people racing to max light

They're going out of their way to slow down people progressing in the game. To the point now where having 3 of a class won't help you level up faster by having them all run raids and get loot. The fuck are they doing that for?

At this point they shouldn't even allow you to create 2-3 of the same class given the reward structure they are creating.

3 character slots, 1 of each.

I learned my lesson earlier when I created a Titan and 2 Hunters on PC. I have since deleted a Hunter, created and maxed out a Warlock and have all 3 characters on both Xbox and PC.

I feel for players who might just want to create 3 of the same class with each dedicated to a specific subclass.

Living with three of the same class is missing out. I mean, I also joined that train back in vanilla D1, when you had to use every possible advantage in order to get to 30, but eventually I wore down and have rolled with one of each class for years now.

I love my Titan to hell and back, best class... but sometimes, I get that urge to shoot a golden gun or pop a stormtrance.

Well, yeah, that's what most players do and I have as well starting back in 2014 upon Destiny's release but playing across 2 platforms I decided to mix it up a bit with just a Titan and 2 Hunters (a dedicated Gunslinger and a Nightstalker) on PC. Ultimately I'm glad I deleted a Hunter and created a Warlock to give me one of each class on both Xbox and PC.

That said, the fact they they allow you to create more than one of the same class yet they gimp the rewards if you do so is simply bad design.

This is where im at. While I'm glad they are making it slightly more difficult to max light level, it's not like it's harder, it just kinda waste the players time more, for no reason.

Right. There's no clever new mechanics, just roadblocks. I honestly don't understand them. They claimed they could make content faster, but rather than do that, they slow everyone down to a crawl to artificially extend the time it takes to level up.

The modifiers mostly look terrible.
I just don't see why we had to wait this long given that quite a handful are once again ported from D1.

No small arms/specialist is probably gonna keep me playing strikes on D1 instead depending on how the modifiers are per week on both.

I tried doing D2 strikes and I got so bored I just shut it off in the middle of one.

Went from 39 to 68% completion of grenade and melee kills for the IB chest ornament tonight. Solar Warlock with Starfire and a few mods did work. Rolled with two sub machine guns and would just slap or toss sticky when the shield dropped. If you're on Xbox and came across me, sorry. I just want to get this done with by any means.
