Ok watched the full episode. I'm just about convinced to sub to Showtime again just for the show. The brand is strong.

The Greenest Book is the funniest skit I've seen in a minute

I've watched hours and hours of their Vice clips in the past few days. Can't believe this is going to be only once a week.

Mero was fucking lit this episode. It also somehow felt longer than the first one which is great.

This episode felt a lot more like the old show. I'm still not sure that I prefer the sketches/remote segments over more Shoutouts, but they're fun.

lol forgot about that "i told them they can come back" line from the new Vice CEO. speaking of which, i'm really curious what the ratings for Vice Live have been. for the uninitiated, VL is very transparently the channels rebuttal to the new Showtime show, and it's a total clusterfuck. after the success of an edited, half-hour long talk show, Vice asked the question "hey, that was good, but what if we had four hosts who don't have any chemistry, we upped the run time to 2 hours every night, and we do it live in front of a really awkward live audience setup?"

Honesty, I'm a little worried about Mero. Putting your mother in law on blast like that so often is a, uh, bold move. Hopefully he ran that by Heather first.

It's nice to see them again but its pretty wack how it's only one show a week and they barely give any time to talk about shit or laugh at dumb clips

I can see myself going back repeatedly to the viceland clips way more than anything on this show so far. Gotta release more stuff on youtube of them riffing on stuff or some shit.

edit: take some of that back, latest episode was fuego. a lot like their podcasts and viceland show. shoulda cut boring ass John Legend tho and gone longer with Vince Staples banter. was fiending for that collision and it was so short.

I wish we could see the whole thing unedited.

Legit. There were a couple times he was saying something hilarious and they had to just cut to the next topic. I could have watched those three banter for hours.

Chocolate Galaxy is still stuck in my head lmao. I've been enjoying watching them but this episode really felt like a full return to form, I laughed out loud consistently throughout.

slightly shocked at the revelation that Mero thought DJ Premier was rapping in Gang Starr

i kinda loved watching Gillibrand completely fumble the easy layups they were throwing out through most of her segment
