Dev hides secret Kojima Productions message inside Metal Gear Survive

Highly doubt this was "hidden". QA would've seen that "Bastard Yota" and "Cunning Yuji" at least a hundred times before the game shipped.
"I-it's an Easter egg! A cool one! Like, a battle-hardened warrior cheekily hailed by his comrades as a 'bastard'? It's like that!"

Just curious, how does this read in Japanese? Almost seems like a crafty translator snuck that in but I'm not sure how that works in development.

Gee I wonder what is more likely? That people who worked at Kojima Productions for years and shipped multiple Metal Gear games are proud of their heritage even without Kojima and wanted to pay homage to that with the leads being self-depreciating? Or that people who worked on the game hate the game and their bosses (who they have worked with for years) and inserted a sEcReT mEsSaGe to PRAISE KOJIMA and INSULT YOTA?
