I felt like checking out the song today and I noticed that it's well above 7 million views as of Aug. 10, 2018.

The reveal trailer has about 3.7 million views:

So almost 2X the views. Is this normal? I've never seen a game song amass more views than a reveal trailer before. Love the song and glad it's getting recognized.

Trigger me if this is old news.

Between this and the FFXV A New Empire thread i'm just convinced i turned into that simpsons character complaining about kids changing and stuff

This song is cheesy as fuck in all the wrong ways.

People might be more interested in the song than the game? *shrug*

But good song.

Trailer views are spread across multiple uploads. The song, too.

I love this song. It's my new favorite background jam I use while I'm working on art.

Makes inking linework go by fast. So I'm responsible for at least 150ish of those views for sure.

Seen the trailer enough times and I'm really excited, but I can listen to the soundtrack again and again. Last time I saw the views were at 4 million, that was quick.

Waiting for Dante's theme now.

It's a pretty good song, and I'm a big fan of all the memes it spawned aha.

With Youtube, Twitter, and Facebook the trailer has over 15 million views. Devil Trigger across youtube has over 9 million views.

The hype is fucking real.

It's cheesy as fuck in all the right ways. It's a catchy song with a bunch of references for fans (the first lyrics are "I will endure exile" which is what Nero says during his first DT activation) with gloriously over the top lyrics. It's cut from the same cloth as Devils Never Cry and Shall Never Surrender. It's just updated to sound like a more modern pop rock song to keep with the times.

I hope this turns into a street fighter 4 situation for me. Because I listened to that song and thought it was terrible.

Presumably someone is more likely to view and spread the song multiple times rather than a video trailer for a game. That's probably all that's going on here.

Potential for repeated views of song is much, much higher than that of a trailer, yea.

Jump Up Super Star have over 30m (8m + 22m)

If I take the first 2 youtube that Google give me

To be fair, it makes more sense to replay a song more than a trailer.

But at the same time, it's a good song.

The trailer is actually close to 10mil views when combining different youtube uploads. Tho I guess it "was" close to that since some uploaders have deleted their version of trailer which has dropped the views down to 6mil.

Its the first Devil May Cry song in 11 years. Lets be real, half the hype all these years was for the crazy aa fuck soundtrack this game will have.

It's so danm good though I prefer Time Has Come but I can't stop listening to this track on the stereo. It's as pumping as Willpower from Persona 5.

Looking forward to hearing the instrumental version too, cause apparently the lyrics only kick in when you git gud.
