For me, their schtick pretty much been squashed when they used the same "unethical business practices" they have lampooned on for years to put a couple of their games on just one store instead of putting it out everywhere and let their fanbase decide where they want to support Devolver.

Just another "woke" brand, unfortunately.

Perfectly said. Their entire persona is hollow now, can't wait for the meta meta comments at this press conference to try and win people back.

They were asked on Discord what would Nina say about the exclusive deals and this was what they posted

What would Nina Struthers say about EGS and Steam feud?

A: She would probably say that it's bat-shit-stupid for people to be "choosing sides" in a competition between corporations who do not give a fuck about you in a conflict that has zero bearing on the future of humanity, particularly while there are actual, real issues going on in the world that we need to be addressing. The thing is, people just want to get their dopamine hits from completing tasks and "saving the world" in videogames instead of going out and actually doing the hard work to help save this actual fucking planet that we actually live on. And why would they? There's no sense of community in the world, no sense of belonging, especially for people who spend their lives getting riled up about where they have to buy their escapist fantasies from.

She would also likely tell you that it's fucking moronic to look for the opinions of fictional fucking characters as some sort of guideline for your beliefs.

Bringing home video game console practices to an open platform is something foreign as of late. However, miserable?? Nah, there's plenty of games out there. I just won't get the ones that don't suit my needs.

Serious Sam 4 and Metal Wolf Chaos is all I want to see.

The humor around the "industry" will ring hollow in light of Devolver selling out to Epic, so the less of that, the better.

At the end of the 2018 Devolver show it becomes a parody of Robcop, as show in the OP post. But the gif in the post cuts off early, and doesn't show the last person to enter the camera view. This person is a man wearing a RUINER shirt. I hope this all alludes to a reveal of RUINER sequel.
