The final release is live but not without issues. Performance drops and glitches blight Fallout 76 across every console - with some unexpected frame-rate lows even on Xbox One X. Tom and John return to look through each version in turn.

Graphics:
- XBO: Dynamic 1080 (drops to 1440x1080p) // Base PS4: Native 1080p.
- Pro 2560x1440p // XBX: native 2160p
- Chance of PS4/Pro/XBX being dynamic but not observed in scenarios tested.
- Draw distances seem more or less same on all consoles.
- XBX and Pro have better volumetric lighting over base (X more so than Pro).

Performance:
- One observation: Base PS4 has consistent 20 FPS with instances of 15 FPS for a long stretch
- Same location tested on Pro/Base XBO stuck to 30 FPS in same location.
- Xbox X on same location went down to 15 to 10 FPS.
- Another observed location has PS4 Pro drop to 20 FPS while OG PS4 remains at 30.

- Generally performance is inconsistent on all devices.
- Various glitches and bugs observed and commented on in the video.

Holy shit at the performance across all platforms. Jesus! 10fps at on point on the X1X. Embarrassing.

added some salient points to OP, highly recommend people watch it first hand though.

This type of stuff is one of the reasons why I either don't buy Bethesda games or always wait until after its fixed.

That locked 20fps must be a typo, right? I'll watch the video myself in a bit.

As expected honestly. Have no desire for this game based on what I've seen so far. I think Fallout for me is dead until I see a new dev behind it.

Oof. Locked 20FPS? 10-15FPS in spots on the X? You can't ship that, man.

People will buy it, but it's unacceptable IMO. They're not the only devs in the world making massively complex games. Get it together.

I edited that line a bit, the PS4 version isnt locked to 20 FPS for the entire game, it's just for one long observed stretch.

- Base PS4 locked 20 FPS with stretches of 15 FPS for a long stretch in one observation.

What a magnificent dumpster fire. I'm oddly drawn to this and would like to try it out for myself...like a moth to the shit flame.

This game is a mess. Poor performance for no reason, broken ai, broken textures.... Gotta love at the end that even DF is calling the engine trash lmao!

Easy on Bethesda guys, they are a small studio and this is their first game.

I'm obviously joking before you jump on me

Yeah, it runs like complete shit on the X. I've got a pretty high tolerance for performance issues, especially from a Bethesda game, but this one is really testing my patience.

I'm glad I cancelled the preorder. I'll wait till they patch the shit out of it and discount.

I'm a master. I could physically count the frames. Hire me DF, I don't even need tools.

Performance on all platforms is trash. My goodness... Did Bethesda even tested the console versions ?
