Turok was great for its time, even with its dated jank and hyper speed controls today (even in the remastered Nightdive version I was surprised by how damn fast you move and aim in the game, particularly compared to Turok 2's more Killzone type movement). Still has a lot of fun weapons and enemies as long as you play with a keyboard and mouse. For 1996 it's very impressive in the small details, blowing enemies around in a simulation of "ragdoll", knocking over trees, etc. Turok 2 was just as ambitious for the time.
