No way, I just found my first Rainbow goblin that led me to Whimsydale just now. Picking up tons of good stuff.

I'm no way a veteran of this game, but I do enjoy it.

I've just been methodically plodding through the single player game on Normal, just onto Act 2. Nothing has really phased me so far, but I'm assuming that is the difficulty level. Health regenerates wonderfully, my followers soak up attention and damage.

I'm playing as a Demon Hunter (L26) and loving the ranged capabilities.

I've got her set up where:

My ZR is the ridiculous rapid fire shot, I've got it on the setting which lets you shoot freeze bolts.
I've got X (I think) now set to Discipline with Hatred restore, meaning that I can keep up the ceaseless shots.
If people get near, I've got the shotgun type thing with backwards somersault, which also restores Hatred.
The smoke screen with movement boost, so I can put distance between me and the enemies if I have to have a panic.
Plus, I've been using the thing that does an AOE of shots that do a slow effect too. Great if I'm fighting on multiple fronts.

I just sit at distance dealing out death.

Picked this up for Switch the other week, and -- wow -- I'm really impressed by how Blizzard has improved/fixed the game since 2012.

I rolled a crusader, and I'm tearing through rifts with a hammer build.

Booted this up tonight and to my surprise, there's a new patch out which brings the game up to version 2.6.4a. It appears to be just the Switch version that was updated. Can't find any patch notes so it could just be a bunch of under-the-hood fixes.

I never expected to like this game that much. After the first week I was bummed out that I had spent 60 bucks on it, but now I've clocked over 120 hours in it, I am glad I did. I can see how people dump thousands of hours into this game.

Maybe it's just me but loading times between town and rift and from one rift level to another seems quicker to me on the new patch.

Anyone interested helping me power level my season character later? He's currently in the 50s. I couldn't play the last week because of lack of internet access .

Hi guys! Damn I didn't know we had a Switch specific OT and searching Diablo Switch didn't bring this up, super weird!

Anyway, these past 2 days I've been getting some nasty game-breaking bugs and I don't know if it's the game, my Switch (unlikely since all the other games seem fine and the A button bug where it worked as an attack but not to pick up loot) or something else. Never encountered a bug till yesterday, then (Seasons mode) in just 1 hour first I had my character who couldn't use B and Y attacks (if I pressed them my char would just get stuck and not move unless I released the button(s) and A would work but not to pick up items... I had 2 legendaries drop and couldn't freakin pick 'em up or do anything else really... I had to exit the game and lost all the loot on the floor ffs.
Then after loading the game again (and noticing I was back in Tristam and not on the crypt with the loot I couldn't pick up before), at the first enemies fight I noticed that my char would auto-walk up to the enemies with me just pressing the attack buttons and not the analog stick, like there was some kind of auto-pilot setting enabled.

Dunno what to do because I hated loosing the good loot I had earned after an hard ass fight and if it happens again I'm afraid I might even shelve the game for good.

Did anyone else experience or know about something similar?

The Switch version is full of bugs unfortunately. Probably because Blizzard didn't do the port inhouse.

Just picked this up since I saw it was discounted to $40 on Amazon. I previously played it on PS3 and thought it was a fun little game. I had a Monk that I had gotten to the Paragon levels but I didn't really stick with it.

Man I don't know what Blizzard has done between then and now but I'm really digging this game a lot and can see myself getting seriously invested in it. Maybe it's the portable nature and being able to pick it up and play it anywhere, but I'm hooked. Currently playing a Crusader and working my way through the campaign. I've read everyone plays Adventure Mode but I do want to go through the campaign and enjoy the story at least once before focusing on max-min stuff.

Is there an Era clan or a way to connect with players online once I beat the campaign and want to do some co-op?

My god. Big deception this morning. I was all hype of returning back to D3 new season, thinking the LoN buff was an outside buff that could be linked to other sets and giving us other sets+ ring combination, to achieve never seen GR levels. Until i realise well, other sets just dont still work with it... so it give you only 2 extra ring slot to test with....

Oh well, it could have been something...

Ideally, you should have picked Season Mode from the get-go, do campaign, and then switched to Adventure Mode. That way, you could have used your existing character.

If you don't mind starting with a fresh character, then there is no downsides to doing the Season. On the other hand, if you can't be bother to start a new character and you barely play anyway, you might as well go Adventure Mode with your current char.

The main rewards in season mode can be obtained fairly quick if you go for the goals listed. Even occasional play can knock it out and get the account item of the season pretty easily.

Anyone tips for doing the harder challenges to get Galaxic Wings and anyone wanna do some seasonal co op.

Best tips: If your doing a fresh season character just play it til you get some items under your belt with good buffs. Its best to take it a bit slow if your not used to doing the season goals. The items you pick up, particularly the rare ones will help your damage output immensely.

Look at a few guides for builds that might interest you and start heading towards one. Going for a certain build or set of items can really, REALLY pull the character and run to season goals together. These are usually revolving around the set of the season.

Team up with others going for season goals.

Gonna start this season when I get home, but I live in Asia. Would offer to play but I doubt the times would be convenient.

I started with Crusader to change it up a bit and once I hit 70 realized I was sick of leveling Crusader again. Time to do another roll.

You mean the Conquests? Those are usually the hardest parts of the season journey. Some tips (conquests are ranked what I consider to be easiest to hardest):
  • The Thrill/Super Human: This one's easier than usual due to the seasonal buff, as it basically frees up both ring slots. It's really just a matter of finding the right Ancients to make a good non-Set build for your class (IcyVeins has a ton). Once you have enough, GR45 will be cake. Practice running regular Rifts on Torment X if you're unsure.
  • Avarice/Avaritia: Find a speedfarming build for your class, max a Boon of the Hoarder gem, put it in an Avarice Band ring, and start farming regular Rifts on the highest Torment in which you can quickly kill enemies. Go through the levels quickly, killing enemies and moving around at a steady clip, and this will unlock before you know it. Goldskin/Goldwrap are useful here too.
  • Years of War/Dynasty: Not hard at all, just time-consuming, and a bit annoying because you'll have to make more than one character and get them leveled/geared up. Once you've found the qualifying Sets, though, GR55 will be an easy clear with each one if you make a decent build.
  • Masters [of the Universe/of Sets]: Even more time-consuming than the above, and a lot more annoying due to the often-weird rules imposed by the Set dungeons. You'll need to make at least two characters and find eight complete top-tier sets for them.
  • Sprinter/Speed Racer: I really hate this one. You basically need to be extraordinarily fast and very lucky for one whole hour. It's possible solo, but I recommend a well-coordinated/experienced group here, each with super-fast builds.
If you can do any three of the above, the rest of the seasonal objectives won't be difficult at all. (Again, since they're ordered by difficulty, I recommend the first three, unless you're an amazing speedrunner or you just love doing Set dungeons.)

Come to think of it I've never done a complete seasonal journey. They really are time consuming but its ok to grind away at with others. Speaking of, if anyone who added me sees me on, feel free to invite/join. It's all one big grind after the seasonal armor is gotten so every little bit helps outside the specific clears.

And man, I hate set dungeons. I think they are pretty unfun. I did my Wizard one but don't look forward to the others.

What is the best class to just run around on screen and gather a bunch of monsters together after which you press a skill button and the whole area just lights the monsters the fuck up with some sick ass AoE move?

I think all classes have at least one item set that enables this. I prefer the barbarian, personally.

Pretty much every class can do this in some way, it all depends on what your favorite is.

Right now I'm playing a Witch Doctor who does exactly this, with the full Jade Harvester set provided by season 17. The set turns Soul Harvest, normally a support/buff skill, into a ridiculously-high-damage nuke, as long as the enemies in its radius already have some kind of damage-over-time effect (Haunt, Piranhas, Locust Swarm etc) on them. Draw in tons of enemies with Piranhas [Piranhado], put Haunt/Locust on them, and then go right in the middle of them and hit Soul Harvest for billions of damage. Get the right rhythm down and you'll tear up the Greater Rift leaderboards.

Midgar, With Love
I started this game a couple of days ago. It's actually the first Blizzard game I've ever played. It's decently fun so far and quite unlike anything else I've played in the past. I'm a monk.

Not much else to say currently! Some of the voice acting is cheesy as fuck but it adds to the atmosphere somehow. lol
