Bandai are letting the fans choose the next two X-Antibody Digimon with a new poll.

Voting is open until August 20th, and the top two will both be chosen. There are a lot of really good choices on there, so it's going to take some time for me to decide who to vote for.

Finally, I should also mention a new Digimon has been recently revealed: Rafflesimon. It is a jogress of Lotusmon and Rosemon in the new Pendulum V-Pet.

The 1:1 (it looks?) Terriermon is too perfect!

To expound a little on the survey.

The first two questions ask you to pick from up to five Digimon you would like to see get GEM figures from the listed ones below. The third question allows you to suggest a Digimon that wasn't included in the list. (Go to the relevant Wikimon page for that Digimon and copy its name in Katakana from either clicking on the "Name/Etymology" tab or clicking "Japanese" above its picture) The fourth question asks if you would buy a Digivice 01 from V-Tamer. The choices are:
1. Would buy at any price
2. Would pay up to 15,000 yen (about $135 at current exchange rate)
3. Would pay up to 10,000 yen (about $90)
4. Would pay up to 5,000 yen (about $45)
5. Would not buy

(For Perfects and Ultimates at least, unless you were looking for non-X-Antibody Magnamon (what a weird omission) or Barbamon, Leviamon or BanchoGolemon).

Please double check by googling a name before voting if you can't read them, because while I did double check stuff, it's still possible I might have accidentally skipped over something. You wouldn't want to all vote for Murmuskmon by mistake.

I'm going to have to think long and hard about some of these. BanchoLilimon will definitely be one of my five votes for the Ultimate poll, though.

Leaning towards Ranamon as my write in choice.

Went ahead and voted in the figure poll: Vamdemon, Dinobeemon, Makuramon, Lilamon and Luminamon (Nene ver) for the perfect poll, and Alphamon Ouryuken, AncientMermaimon, Dukemon X-Antibody, BanchoLilimon and Lilithmon for the Ultimate poll, with Ranamon as my write in. Tried for a mix of personal favorites and more oddball choices that would be cool to see (and maybe get Bandai to bring some of those Digimon back in other ways).

Still agonizing over that X-Antibody poll, though.

Man, looking at that art, I realized just how tired I am of Adventure. It'd be one thing if we got more 02 focus, but it looks like they are pushing Taichi and Yamato to the forefront again.

If the "remake/retelling of Adventure" rumor floating around is true, at least we'd get a better animated version of the first season out of this.

I pray this is an actual movie with a higher budget though. Tri looked a mess in some parts and there was an overusage of still frames.

Also if this is a remake then I'm out I ain't here for adult versions of the Adventure cast rebuilding their relationships with the digimon again it was one of the worst aspects of the last 3 Tri OVAs.

Cannot WAIT for yet another Omnimon variant. <.<

The Frontier blu-ray set is welcome news, especially with it coming with a new CD drama. Hopefully they start putting out some Frontier merchandise soon.

Just finished watching episode 30 of Digimon Tamers. I've really been enjoying this show so far.

I was a Pokemon kid and never gave the series a chance, but with the Cyber Sleuth hype, I tried to get into the series by watching Adventure. It just couldn't hold my attention. Trying to get into the series again. Someone in the Digimon Survive announcement thread said to go with Tamers instead and that has been really good advice.

After I finish Tamers, I'll figure out what episode I left off in Adventure and finish it so I'll at least get all the references to that show. Maybe I'll appreciate it more after watching Tamers.

For games I'm trying to decide if I want to clear my games backlog a bit or just order Cyber Sleuth already. I bought the PS4 Kingdom Hearts remasters and I want to finish everything before KH3 releases, but boy does Re:CoM suck lol.

For Kingdom Hearts, I skipped Re:CoM because I didn't like the combat system at all and just watched cutscenes on YouTube. I didn't want to waste my time on that game when I could have been on KH2 lol

If you enjoyed Tamersn do slso look into Savers and Appmon (although it takes a while to get into).

Adventure doesn't really get much of a plot until around the 13th episode and truly gets great starting around the 20's. At the beginning it feels very "Monster of the Week" and, if you're watching the dub, very Saturday morning cartoon. If you haven't bought in by the end of the Myotismon/Vamdemon arc, then you might consider dropping it. The last portion isn't terrible, but it's definitely not as strong.

Tamers is interesting to watch back-to-back with it because you can see that they both take a different approach to the same idea. Following seasons tend to diverge a lot more.

Yeah, and if you end up liking Cyber Sleuth's feel, you'll probably appreciate Savers as it's the closest anime equivalent.

Even though Adventure is no longer on Netflix, it looks like it still shows what episodes I watched in the watch history page on the website. "Departure for a New Continent" was the last episode I watched. So it seems like I stopped as it started getting interesting?

I'll definitely watch it after I finish Tamers. Will probably finish that tonight or tomorrow.

As for Savers, it's not on Netflix, Hulu, or Crunchyroll. After Adventure, I do want to take a break from watching Digimon anime though. There's other shows I want to watch too lol.

Yeah you did.

Though I personally think Devimon>Etemon Arc as a whole despite being monster of the week. Can't explain why but that's how I feel.

But the best one is the Vamdemon arc (though the END of the Etemon arc is pretty fucking good. Last couple of episodes in particular).

If you don't like the Vamdemon/Myotismon arc, I wouldn't even bother with the final arc.

Basically, yeah, watch it! :)

Vamdemon > Devimon > "Dark Masters" > Etemon

I think that's how I'd put the arcs, for myself.

I actually think the Etemon arc is one of the strongest parts of the series as character flaws become more apparent. Especially with Taichi.

Eventhough the villain is kinda just out there and the finale is just a way to get to the better setting of the series.

The worst parts of Adventure for me is towards the end of the Vamdemon arc where it relies on Taichi and Yamato, what would continue in the remaining part of the final arc.

02 repeats the same mistake, but it's way worse. Pity because it had better villains than adventure.

I like the character flaws but idk, it just felt dragging at times and the villains weren't that interesting. Most interested I was in it was at the end of the Etemon arc.

I still enjoyed it but imo, most of that arc is the lowest point of the series.

Though the first Ultimate/Perfect Evo is one of my favourite parts in the whole series XD (the first proper one I mean, though I did enjoy the SkullGreymon episode)

Eventhough the Dark Masters part is just the series taking it to a close, I did enjoy seeing all the antics of a new league.

Like there's a good reason MachineDramon is well liked.

So arc wise I'm looking at Vamdemon > Etemon > Devimon > Dark Masters.

But Villain wise is different. I would even separate Myotismon/Vamdemon for instance and put Vamdemon in the trash.

Agreed, the Etemon arc is where Taichi pretty much stepped up to be the leader of the group with the team naturally accepting it when they put him in charge of choosing the final card to open the gate back home, simply because they trusted his judgement.

Plus the first episode of Adventure I watched was when Greymon digivolved into Metal Greymon, so I am kinda bias there. ;p

Finished Tamers. That was amazing. I even got teary-eyed at the ending. Very surprising how good it was despite being a show for kids.

I know there are other Tamers stuff besides the 51 episodes. What else do I need to experience?

Right now I'll go read episode summaries for the Adventure episodes that I've already seen and start watching from where I left off.

Apparently the second movie is non-canon and is contradicted by the audio dramas that are written by the same guy who did the TV show. But I might still check it out since people say it's good.

Oh the two movies, right :p For some reason, I clumped them in with the show.

Just extra stories, but nothing amazing. I do love the Ruki/AiM theme song from the second movie, though.
