Do Nintendo Switch Online codes have an expiration date? (Like the ones received in Switches when you buy them?)

I recently purchased a Nintendo Switch and its been great but I'm wondering - is there an expiration date for the code for NSO that comes with the purchase like a date that I need to use it before expires or can I wait until a little later to redeem it?

all I could find is
Download codes purchased from retailers or through nintendo.com do not expire. However, download codes given out for a specific promotion (Hyrule Warriors DLC pack, Pokémon distributions, etc) will usually have an expiration date.

Doesnt that apply to Games and DLC though?

This is more of a subscription service or does the same logic apply?

I believe in general codes dont expire including the online code. only dlc/promotional dlc/ and digital rewards from my nintendo can expire also gold points that are not used (12 months after obtaining them).
