Do you consider the Fate series as a video game franchise? Would you consider it for possible representation in Smash Bros?

It's more a waifu hentai game franchise than anything, and no Smash should stay family friendly.
Persona and Fire Emblem are already in Smash.
We also already have three characters from M rated games.(higher then most modern Fate games.)
Visual novels are games and that's what Fate/Stay Night originally was. Fate/Grand Order is a mobile game, which is also a game, and it's one of the most popular gachas ever. I think it'd be fine if it gets into Smash.
I don't remembering dicking anyone from FE or Persona while they were just trying to take a bath.
Saber though...
What's the first exposure you get to Bayonetta in Bayonetta 1? Her clothes ripping off and her pole dancing while the game plays moaning sounds. Bayo 2? Her quite literally riding (with close-ups of her crotch) on top of an enemy or something like that. Obviously Fate has more overt sexuality but at this point I don't really think it's as big of a deal considering who's in Smash. I don't think it's GOING to happen, I just think the reasoning for why people think it isn't is stupid.
You get the clothes cut off and moaning in Bayo 2 as well.
And don't forget the Joy's torture attacks.

Is Game of Thrones also garbage because the TV series has people banging like it's going out of style? Are From Software and Elden Ring doomed by associating themselves with a porn writer like GRRM?
Saber should totally be in Smash, she's easily one of the most iconic characters in gaming/anime and we need more women in the game as well.
Did you ever play Fire Emblem? Because even FE Heroes doesnt go as low as most of Fates games/animes go

Not similar at ALL. Fatal Fury isn't like Fate and you know the reasons why already. The series doesn't feature H-scenes, end of the story.
I imagine havig a series you like being called awful and dismissed as porn doesn't sit well with a lot of people.

Saber would be cool, but there are several other franchises I'd rather get in Smash before Fate.

I don't recall "most Fates games/anime going as low".
I have seen all fate anime from the OG Fate to the (underrated) Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya. None of them contain any outrageous fan service.
Most of the Fate spinoff games also don't contain low stuff. Fate Tigger, The PSP/PS2 fighting game, Fate Extra and the Fate Extalla games are pretty mild
Plenty of games I like get shit on. It's just entertainment and you don't need to run to its defense at every turn.

Exactly why do you think this is so outrages exactly? I don't think it's incredibly likely but I also know I've been told of several characters who "had no chance" who are now in Smash so if you don't mind please share.

There's 10000000 different things wrong with Fate but "making mythological figure into a girl" doesn't even rank on there.
Not super into anime, but I watch some stuff every now and then. Last month, I finally watched a Fate anime (Fate Apocrypha on Netflix) and really liked it. Very entertaining.
I don't think it belongs in Smash, though. Not even because of the sexual stuff, I just think it feels kind of alien in a game like this. Maybe because I haven't played any of the games, so it feels like an anime to me. That said, it would be super cool to have a Fate game based on Smash.

With how Ultimate has been playing out so far with newcomers, they'd would have to be very unique cases to not be possible in Smash.
So it's unlikely to be a problem if a character originated from a video game.
(And I'd still count Sora from Kingdom Hearts as a possibility despite the Disney connection)

You can't argue for Phoenix Wright to be included but decide that Fate does not deserve to have a rep. Visual novels are video games.

To be fair, having a ton of unoffical porno fanart =/= starting off as an 18+ eroge game.
At this point however, the series is far removed from it and is a $3 billion seller.
