Do you guys like a “no nose”/“barely distinguishable nose” art style?

I'm sorry but how can anyone say this looks good? The shading is somewhat charming I guess but that's about it. The face is just way too soulless and totally devoid of any detail.

No nose is fine if done right. To be clear, there's a STARK difference there between the Tactics art style and the way more anime looking no-nose styles you posted. It's all in the context.

if it is a hard 3d not soft cell shaded 3d model then I would usually not be fine with it

2D and cellshading (and a good art style) makes it fine

but by default I like them actually having noses lol

Can we address how utterly absurd a statement this is? Final Fantasy Tactic's art style is anime. What do you even mean by more anime style?

I'm neutral on it. Certainly don't want all characters to use it but I'm not going to condemn the whole idea from some bad implementations. Only OP's Star Ocean example looks outright bad I think.

I've consumed so much media where characters don't have a nose, that it doesn't bother me. Just a decision.
However, I do dislike noses that are slapdashed on and look weird.
