We're close to the one year anniversary of RDR2's release and the general consensus was that it would make it's way to PC sooner rather than later. But 10 months later we still haven't heard a single official hint to this whatsoever. Is this still something you think as being inevitable? Or do Rockstar just view GTA as their PC crossover game?

10 months is nothing. It's inevitable.

I think they'll treat it the same way they treated GTAV. There will be a next-gen version that includes a PC version with a lot of enhancements. Can you imagine RDR2 with RTX support?

Probably a year or so after they release a version for next gen consoles

Didn't the PC version of GTAV release something like 18 months after the console version? By that math the PC version of RDR2 will be hitting in spring of 2020.

It's absolutely coming to PC, it's just a matter of when.

Yeah, in 2021, once they announce a "next gen remaster" they'll put it on EGS as a 6 months exclusive.

By the time it's out on Steam, someone will be halfway to modding the entirety of the original game in RDR2's engine.

100% going to come to PC. Also 100% going to come to next gen... Heck I would put a 75% chance that GTAV comes to next gen consoles also

Summer 2020 PC / Fall 2020 PS5/Scarlett.

60fps native 4K, improved graphics, textures, lighting, shaders, RTX PC,and RT support for consoles.

Main competition for Rockstar/Take Two is Cyberpunk 2077 which most definitely will be on next gen and current gen consoles, in addition to PC.

I think it's clearly still coming, they'd be stupid to leave money on the table with how many will buy on PC. I know I'll double dip, without even a second's hesitation.

It will stay exclusive to PS4 and Xbox One and never come out on anything else.

Hopefully. The mod potential is off the charts.

If I had any talent, I'd already be figuring out how to make a Mistborn Wax/Wayne mod since it's already a Western setting.

The better questions is, which will come first, the next gen ports or the PC version?

Much higher than that. GTA V prints money like nothing else; Rockstar's not about to let that well run dry. It'll also be a decent holdover until GTA VI, which is undoubtedly going to take a long time to make.

Of course.

I didn't bought it on PS4 so I can play the PC version.

I was expecting at least a year to be honest but yes it may release even later.

I am expecting a PC version and a next gen port. Similar strategy like GTA V. Millions and millions of sales.

Yes, but I'm seriously annoyed that it hasn't released yet. I hate that these double dip strategies work, just release the fucking thing simultaneously.

They put 7 years into this thing. It's coming, and it's gonna be the best looking game for years to come.

Probably simultaneous release with next-gen re-releases, or not long after, so likely before Spring 2021.

If they announce PS5/Nextbox ports without PC version then I would worry.

The PC version will be enhanced but as a current gen game it will have a difficult task to be the best looking in comparison to the next gen games.

To be honest it doesn't matter if it will be the best looking or one of the best. For sure it will be really impressive.

A next-gen console port doesn't make much sense to me. Next-gen consoles are going to be backwards compatible like a PC. The PS4/X1 game should run on a PS5/X2. And with a 'patch' it could get all the benefits of the new hardware. Higher res and higher fps amongst other benefits.
Asking people for another 60€ should bring a lot more than that.
So, in my opinion they're not waiting for next-gen consoles. What are they waiting for? No freakin' idea. Maybe a good RTX implementation?
That said, they will put out PS5/X2 copies for the people who dont own the game yet. But the double dip should be much lower than GTA V.

I've said it multiple times, but yes. It will come out along with the PS5 and xbox whatever ports for maximum double dipping.

It's coming May 2021 to PC. They want to wait so they can first release it for PS5 and Xbox Next in November 2020. That way, Rockstar hopes to get the triple dip. It doesn't matter that next gen consoles are backwards compatible, they can save all the graphic and performance improvements for the next gen release. Xbox One backwards compatibility didn't stop all the remaster releases.

Yes of course, look at how well GTA does on PC and how many people double / triple dipped.

I'm strangely non-excited for a PC version. I really enjoyed RDR2 on PS4 Pro, but I think the length and pacing of the game kills my excitement for another full playthrough. If it does come out on PC I'll probably buy it anyway to marvel at the landscapes again.

Yes, it's pretty much a sure thing. Doesn't look like it'll be this year, but I'd expect either Spring 2020 or Fall 2020 along with a next gen console release.

I need my PC version! I hope we get some kind of Next Generation build of the game!

It would be great to see a PC version released alongside the next generation console versions.
If they need to take more time with it then so be it, I just hope that they announce a PC version and keep us updated about its progress!
