Yes as long as he's not arrogant and campaigns in the right states. Hillary big mistake was not going to crucial states thinking she had it all in the bag.
I don't think we're going to win regardless of who we run this year. The Democrats are too scattered and inconsistent to organize and beat whatever bullshit cheating tactics Trump will deploy to steal four more years.

I'm too cynical to say yes, but I think it's plausible. People seem to like him, but others think he looks as old as Gandalf and think it's silly nominating a very old person. I'll vote yes for the sake of voting.
Yeah, without too much trouble. I honestly think any of the current contenders (and some also-rans, like Harris and Booker) would be able to beat Trump in 2020 - he's go the advantage of incumbency, a solid economy, and the electoral college, but he's so historically unpopular and has burned so many bridges with so many people over the past four years that it's an even harder victory for him than it was 2016. And remember, that was a NARROW win.
And it's a counterfactual, but I think he would have won narrowly in 2016 as well. I think Trump was able to exploit some very specific weaknesses on Clinton's part, and Sanders would have a completely different set of issues, ones that would be harder for him to prey on.

Because she only barely lost the whole election by some 80,000 votes in a handful of those states.
Captain Crunch could be on the ballot, and could beat Trump if the youth vote actually turned out.

I believe the youth didn't turn out for the last election because they specifically wanted Bernie.
I think Bernie can win for two reasons.
1. He's also perceived as an outsider and not super entrenched in the Democratic Party which may help with jaded voters of which there are tons.
2. As Teflon as he might be, Trump has steadily lost approval. He certainly isn't the same media juggernaut he was in 2016.

Some would be easier, like his heart condition and Bernie's engineered to be a Red Scare candidate. Unlike someone like AOC they don't have to make shit up to make him look bad with that angle.
It's easy to compare the two now when bernie has never been the chosen candidate in a general election. Once the GOP goes full force with the socialism boogeyman, it'd be game over for him in my opinion.
My totally not expert opinion is that who ever the dem nominee is, has around a 60% chance to win. Each candidate has some issues but I don't think it will make much of difference who it is.

Eh, 50-50, remember that he's also fighting gerrymandering and vote fraud. Though out of all the candidates not named Biden he probably has the best chance.

I absolutely believe Bernie could beat Trump. I am not sure if he can beat Biden, which is the immediate problem.

Only the most exciting populist is going to out-populist Trump, in my opinion.
Combine that with the fact Warren got knocked out when she was hit with the medicare 4 all scare detailing how people would lose their private insurance, that shit will go into overdrive with Bernie, coupled with 'haha your taxes will also be raised!.' In the moderate/red states, he will be weak, and wont get the senate. Without the senate, he wont do jack shit.
