I just started using this as my default the other day. I have enough Google in my life between Android and YouTube, the least I can do is switch search engines.

I use it. I usually just throw a !g on the search if it's not finding something to check google, but... it's really rare for me (if ever) that Google's results are any better. And they're so filled with ads nowadays that I don't get ANY real results above the fold often. I'm always surprised to read threads like this.
I tried it for a while because I really want to see another search engine succeed, but unfortunately google has always returned results for whatever I'm looking for and it takes extremely specific searches to get results on others like DDG.

I used it a long time ago when I was younger and trolling the dark web. But outside of that one time im fine with google. Me personally I don't give a shit about privacy. I'm sure between google Apple and everything in my apartment being linked to amazon it's a little late for me to care lol.
It's pretty good. Now if it could act like Google Chrome in it's entirety such as searches, I'd never go back to Chrome ever again.
Yep, I switched to FireFox + DuckDuckGo this year. I only use Google in rare cases.

I tried to use startpage as an alternative. It's just not as good as Google. I'm rocking Firefox for general usage, with Brave Browser w/vpn add on for the porn.
Update: I stopped using it less than a month after I started. I mean, it's just awful. Going from Google to DDG is like going from driving a high end luxury automobile to being drag on a slab of concrete down a rocky road.
This... I'd love to use it, but Google is far beyond any other search engine.
