Does anyone else miss those caught on camera compilation TV shows?

Those shows that consisted of clips of disasters, rescues, police chases or any other extraordinary event with a voice over narration. YouTube made all those shows obsolete, but it was cool having all these events captured on video curated for our viewing.

I think I've seen Real TV, World's Most Amazing Videos, Maximum Exposure and Disorderly Conduct: Video on Patrol. Probably all on the same channel, Spike TV.

I guess World's Most Amazing Videos was my favourite only because the opening narration featured Don LaFontaine (that movie trailer voice over guy).

Do these types of shows even exist anymore?

Live PD has a ton of police content on YouTube, they've truncated most the commentary from the in show studio.
This. I can’t watch the show on tv due to the whole podcast like commentary stuff but I love the clips that is associated for it. I go to YouTube to see the clips they upload.

My experience watching tv in the breakroom at work has taught me that MTV has apparantly devolved into a 24 hour showing of episodes of Ridiculousness.
