I always thought that motto was kinda dumb anyway.
EA seems to be going through a constant up and down pattern, when it's up it produces incredible games (Mass Effect, Dead Space, Mirror's Edge) and when it's down it produces decent but disappointing games (Mass Effect Andromeda, Dead Space 3 and Mirror's Edge Catalyst).
