It absolutely did when i was younger. I got like 10€ allowance per month, so i got just a handful of games per year. I always was deep into rpg's and action adventures, and i often wont touch anything under 50h simply because i would finish it too quickly.

Nowadays its different, of course, but i still like my games a bit longer. Anything 20-40hours for story is perfect + endgame stuff. I would never spent more than 20€ for 8-12h games.

I'd say yes, in most cases it's. Or that serious but if it's a very short game at the full price ie $60-48. Nah.

It depends. I'm more interested in whether a game is reviewed well or not but I wouldn't pay 60 bucks for a 5 hour game. Other than an extreme situation like that, I mainly look at reviews now since I can afford to get pretty much whatever games I want.

I would say "Literally never" but I've flipped as of late. Any game that's over 15 hours I'm probably going to tip right the fuck past.

I have myself in a unique position of having to play too many MMOs in the early 00s, so a lot of grinding, skilless, boring shit like the icon vomit of Assassin's Creed or pissing about GTA open world sandbox games stress me out. I'd rather play a tight, lightning fast, buffed to a mirror sheen title like Pyre or a repeatable roguelike ala Spelunky or Isaac than piss away hours getting new guns every week in Destiny 2.

Only reason I ever got Destiny was because I looooooooooove Halo and Bungie shooters.
