Sounds like he just wanted to stay home.
What did he eat?

Food an animal rescuer was leaving for him.

Gaylord fled when the Nov. 8 fire broke out and decimated the town of 27,000. An animal rescuer who responded to Gaylord's request to check on Madison first spotted the male Anatolian shepherd mix several days later.

Shayla Sullivan said the outdoor guard dog was apprehensive and kept his distance. Sullivan left food and water for him regularly until Gaylord got back on Wednesday.

Loyal to the end. This is another great story that came from disaster.

Dog has more integrity, bravery and loyalty than our trashcan of a president.

We bred them that way. So you're saying we should start breeding our public servants for good traits too? Not a bad idea tbh.

Protect is a strong word. I imagine the dog just came back, took a look around and just said "well shit...I guess this is home now" and sat down.
