The kid is going house to house asking for free candy. If she thinks she is entitled to that candy and she shouldn't have to share it then that's a terrible lesson.

All kids collect as much candy they can to their ability, and then they share it and help out those who had a smaller bag, or got tired, or wasn't allowed to trick or treat. Because they are human beings feeling solidarity with each other. And if they get sick from eating to much candy and have to go to the hospital, they won't get financially fucked.
The only way to make this experiment work is make one child in charge of who shares what and who gets it, and give them opportunity to help those their responsible for or abuse power to help themselves.

The toddler came up to me to get candy in her bucket. Then she looked back at her baby sister, and held out her bucket again. After giving her a second treat, she walked back to her sister, took the second treat out, and gave it to her. She's barely old enough to form rational thoughts and she already loves her sister and wanted to make sure they both got candy.
It was the sweetest thing. Those children will grow up to be much better people than the poor Trump child ever will with those kinds of "lessons." That's how you raise a narcissistic sociopath.

That's not what socialism is and he probably knows that. But he has to dumb it down to the most simplest level because the people who listen to him are simpletons themselves and wouldn't understand how socialism actually works. Also, fuck this guy. I feel bad for his daughter.
You know, sometimes people make stupid remarks. Sometimes they make an error in judgement, other times it's a matter of perspective, misguidance or delusion. Very, very rarely, it's just dumb and nothing more than that. This is just dumb. No other words are needed. Dumb.
Sigh, it always frustrates me that many people (especially in America) oversimplify socialism and think it's the devil. It has is issues yes, just like capitalism does. It bothers me even more when they're quick to quote how socialism has failed in N countries, but you can also make the same argument about N countries in Africa, Latin America, etc. As if some of the bad things that happened while a country was "socialist" is exclusive to socialist countries.

I met someone like this once and while they attended a prestigious university (they loved to talk about it all the time), it became very clear very quickly that they had basically paid their way through and learned absolute fuck all during their time at said university.
For some people, saying they attended a prestigious university is more noteworthy than actually learning anything. It's yet another status symbol among many.
