This is great news. I'm gonna hold out until it's discounted, personally, because I played the Wii U version to 100% and then my son got obsessed with the game and played it for months after that (and still does, occasionally - and he sometimes asks to listen to the music in the car).

Its a really good idea to fill in the gaps in the Switch library with Wii U games. I think it might make a huge difference in the end, since the main problem with Nintendo consoles always is a lack of games. This improves the situation a lot, even if it doesnt solve it.

This is awesome news! DKC: Tropical Freeze might very well be the 2D platforms ever made, and it deserves to be experienced by a wider audience. The only thing that sucks is that I feel like they really should've bundled in a definitive version of DKC: Returns with this. Right now, deciding which version of Returns to play is a case of "pick your poison". The Wii version is stuck at 480p, and has those insufferable waggle controls, but is 60 FPS. The 3DS version offers portability, extra content, and better controls but suffers from dumbed down visuals and 30 FPS (which it can't even hold consistently). It would've been great to get a definitive version of it on Switch, but at any rate, Tropical Freeze is the better game, and very much deserving of this treatment, so I'm still happy in the end.
